On which page do you expect stuff to stay on top? It's not clear from how you phrased it ...

And short answer is no, that is not possible on any page on Next Episode, I'm just curious what exactly the use case is?

Re: Features/Improvements Requests

Hello,
I'm new here, so forgive me, if this or something similar has been suggested before...

I love the "Your search engines" function and that I can make these links show in the Today/Tomorrow/Yesterday section. I use it to create direct links to the shows on a specific site, not as a search egine. It works well for many of my shows, but the site I use does not always follow the same pattern when naming a show's URL. So not all the links work. Or sometimes it leads to the wrong show if there are multiple shows with the same title.

It would be great, if I could replace non-working links with custom links of my own or to set up customs links for shows in general. It could maybe be something similar to the custom tag thing, only that it would be with clickable URLs.

Hope that makes sense...

Thanks!

Re: Features/Improvements Requests

Hi, I don't know if it's something you can fix, but I'd really appreciate a "reject all" button on the cookies pop-up. Not having one is just shady.

Not really. Without cookies - the website will not be able to function properly. In addition - the ad network it uses - Google's, will not function properly or at all.

So you want a custom link, per show or do you need a custom formatting of the search engine link (so it works on the site you're using)?

Yes, a custom link per show would be wonderful, and if possible, the option to display these links in the “Today/Tomorrow/Yesterday” section, just like you can already do with search engine links.

Re: Features/Improvements Requests

I'm afraid that's too niche of a request/need that'll only add overhead and complexity to the site logic and UI and will benefit too few users (possibly just you) so I cannot justify doing it, for now.

Hope that makes sense.

All good. I already thought that might be too specific. Still loving the site, thanks!

Re: Features/Improvements Requests

Logged out - shows all of todays and yesterdays shows. Useful for show discovery.
Logged in - only shows my list, no way of viewing all the data.

Section on site for finding new shows sucks. For example i only watch shows rated 15 or 18 and consider zombies, slasher and western to be categories.

Great site besides that though.

Re: Features/Improvements Requests

Have a look at the settings, https://next-episode.net/settings and tick "Include shows not in my watchlist when in their 1st season" if not already.

DRM "manages access" in the same way that Prison "manages freedom".

What Piggy_1 means is: could you add a button "reject all non-essential"?

You seem to be using a third party banner, which is reasonable, but it's one of the few that do no have that button yet. You can only click "accept all" or wade through a seemingly endless list of items that all have "legitimate interest" set to enabled by default. I would call said legitimacy debatable at best.

It would be better practice to use a banner that has that option. Last I heard, it wasn't even clear whether this kind of indirect nudging towards clicking "accept all" was even permissible when trying to comply with the law that made you add that thing in the first place.

It also kinda makes a site look less sketchy.

This comes directly from Google and again - if it's restricted - ads won't work properly or at all.

That's too vague to disagree with specifically, but it is wrong on some level.

Rejection does mess with standard conversion tracking for vendors, that's not a bug but the very feature the GDPR is meant to deal with: some marketing folks getting too shameless with their methods, ruining it for all. Google, being the largest ads provider we have, is aware of that and has an economical interest in staying at least somewhat compliant. That's why Consent Mode exists, which apparently uses some more indirect means to do it. Which, I assume, is already what is being used when you do click through "manage options" and disable everything you can, which, again, is already possible. Just tedious.

Do you mean you are using a banner that is being provided as a separate product by Google, or is the banner itself automatically produced by the Googleads or Tag Manager script you have running?

Re: Features/Improvements Requests

It is not a separate product, it's part of the script that comes from Google to load the ads. It can be customized some, but there is no option to add the button you suggest - reject all but necessary cookies.

Looks like they named it "Funding Choice Messages"? It's odd that they would still do it like that, with even YouTube having caved on this already; can't find anything on it either though. Google's idea of "documentation" can be a bit of a joke sometimes. Ah well. But yeah; some of us are sort of bothered by it, in case you ever find a convenient way to change it.
