Can it be general like they have a string of fairly boring episodes and just when you start thinking, I'll drop it, they come out with an awesome episode that reminds you of why you loved it in the first place....

that they don't know how to build characters awesome. Rick is getting there, slow as hell tho. But the redneck is fading. The rest of the cast is garbage.
