Undone explores the elastic nature of reality through its central character, Alma. After getting into a near fatal car accident, Alma discovers she has a new relationship with time and uses this ability to find out the truth about her father's death.

Has anybody seen this? I think it is really good if you are into this kind of thing.

Never heard of it until now. I'll definitely check it out when I get a chance. Thanks!

Re: Undone

I've stumbled upon the trailer recently and added Undone right away. smile Hope it will be good - it totally reminded me of Richard Linklater's

Waking Life (2001)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0243017/

which was great! Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbPgprcMtjo

Re: Undone

I saw the first 3 episodes. The story is interesting but definitely for people who are into sci-fi and/or surreal stuff.

Re: Undone

Excellent, I'm really pleased it's been renewed.  It took me a while to get into the animation style, but once I did I really enjoyed Undone.

2020.  Meh.

7

Re: Undone

Really like this one! The animation does remind me of Waking Life (which I also enjoyed).

Re: Undone

I loved this too. Extremely well written and acted with a wonderfully surreal plot. Really looking forward to S2 when I will re-watch S1 as well.

The animation technique is the same as used for A Scanner Darkly. But I think it works better on this series as it goes

I don't watch trailers. I never have and I never will.
I don't like Tom Cruise, James Cameron and there's lots more to add, give me time
I don't like Star Wars or Star Trek or any superhero *hit

yes - i REALLY liked it.  Much better then Waking Life, and better then Scanner Darkly

I am very excited that it was renewed, as I swallowed the whole first season in one weekend, and I will now re-watch it before the new season.

RARE GEM OF A SHOW!!!

and "definitely for people who are into sci-fi and/or surreal stuff."   yes, it helps if you are into more then what seems to be a current definition of a material world  - though the new quantum mechanics seem to be making Sci-Fi into just Sci soon wink

Thanks for sharing... guess I'll give this show a higher priority. smile

Yeah... some people are not willing to engage movies/shows that are 'too far out there'. wink Someone even once told me she doesn't watch any sci-fi because "it's not real"... big_smile

Yes, the future will be exciting! smile

Don't get too excited, it is not strictly "new" as we have known about most of this for a very long time. It's just that we have recently found a few more ways for practical application.

Most of it is really just a trope.

That uh... is why I watch it...

Finished season 1! Rated it 8/10 (same as A Scanner Darkly, while I rated Waking Life a 10). Will not watch it again but will almost certainly check out season 2. smile

And very befitting a show that "explores the elastic nature of reality", when I checked the date and time that I had added Undone to my list, I found out that I had finished the show EXACTLY ONE YEAR (and just a few minutes) later. Whaaaaaaaat?!? yikes yikes cool big_smile (Love it!)

That made me laugh.

By that logic, she shouldn't watch anything at all, because no film or series is actually real.

PS. Undone is freaking amazing.

The people who say that usually just lack the words to describe what they actually mean: it's not as relatable.

Relatability requires imagination in these genres. That is part of why some of us like them, but also why some people cannot be bothered to watch them.

Good point! I guess I have enough imagination to enjoy any genre, as long as I find the plot interesting enough.

Re: Undone

This is a great show, and one I want to see more of.  Strong, A Scanner Darkly, Waking Life, with Fringe-esque vibes about it.  According to Screen Rant it won't be on again until late 2022.  Amazon Advisor link.

Re: Undone

Ya, I marathoned the entire second season already.  So good.  What a great show.

Re: Undone

Took me maybe 3 eps of the second season to get back into it, but wow, what a great show this is.

2020.  Meh.
