Treme
The series takes place three months after Hurricane Katrina where the residents of New Orleans, including musicians, chefs, Mardi Gras Indians, and ordinary New Orleanians try to rebuild their lives, their homes and their unique culture in the aftermath of the 2005 hurricane. Personally, I can't wait to watch it, at least for JOHN GOODMAN. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPVMxuoarbg "Hate the food, hate the music, hate the city, what the fuck are you doing down here?!"

Re: Treme
YES already renewed for a second season! "We would have picked up this show last week," HBO president Michael Lombardo told The Hollywood Reporter. "We've seen the first nine episodes it's as strong as any show we've seen. Much like 'The Wire,' the audience is so passionate and so invested. We're about servicing our subscriber base and I believe that people will become addicted to this show. We have to be a place where this kind of excellence is giving space to continue." People, WATCH IT!

Re: Treme
I wouldn't call it heavy, after the pilot. I would even say it's the opposite of heavy, it shows the strenght of the ppl of New Orleans.

Clarke Peters. And it's not a chicken costume, but an Indian Mardi Gras costume.

Goddamnit Orlando, I want my hour and twenty minutes back ! If you're not up to date with American lifestyle, this series is just a semi-interesting drama. No seriously, it is a quality series but it doesn't appeal to me as a non- US citizen.
