Re: Ahsoka [Star Wars, Live-Action]
I'm not a big Rosario Dawson fan, but she looks convincing in the trailer. Looking forward to the show. P.S.: The problem with using external images (instead of the internal show image) is that external links sometimes end up not working. I didn't change it, but I edited the thread title to show the proper show name.

Re: Ahsoka [Star Wars, Live-Action]
Rosario was great in The Mandalorian, so I'm also looking forward to this. Ahsoka was the lead character in the 3D Star Wars Clone Wars cartoon, and she was Anakin's padawan and closest friend, next to Obi-wan, now whether that story is canon and will transfer over, I have no idea, but that's the reason I put Live-Action in the heading so users don't confuse this with another cartoon. Would love to see a 'Clone Wars / Attack of the Clones' flashback scene with Ahsoka and Anakin, as the movies glossed over an entire TV series worth of story without Ahsoka, so this is long overdue. I was changing the picture around because Disney was still changing their picture around on their website while I was creating this forum, like I refreshed their page and the picture changed, lolz. Also changed the name to just 'Ahsoka'.

Ah, that's another reason for using internal show images. Imagine it suddenly changing to a picture of Japanese Horse Meat Ice Cream. (Yes, ice cream with raw horse meat mixed in.)

Most of the time third party pictures will just go blank if they edit them as it breaks the link, I've never had them change. (I don't know what's going on today, but it seems like somebody hijacked Lighton's account, you just don't seem like yourself, unless this is the new you.)

Ah, the Guardian. Famous here in the UK for having opinions that nobody "normal" ever agrees with.

Re: Ahsoka [Star Wars, Live-Action]
I don't understand the initial 8.6/10 IMDB rating. I was a bit disappointed by 1x1, mostly by the acting. But hey, at least the sets were great.

Re: Ahsoka [Star Wars, Live-Action]
1x1,2 - Slow start, what a snore fest....meh, but seeing Ray Stevenson I want to shout "13", maybe time to re-watch Rome again. What really took me out of the fiction were the cartoon murals, like wtf? Unnecessary meta-reference that breaks the fourth wall.

I totally disagree with all of that, I didn't think it was a snorefest and I liked the mural.

I am still pretty sad about his death IRL. It's hard knowing Pullo is gone.

Ep 3. Pretty slow. Just bring on Thrawn and Ezra already.

1x3 - It was infuriating; "let's shoot point blank and miss each other for 10 minutes straight so our audience will throw things at their screens." Gorgeous ILM production wasted because of a nonsensical fight scene.

I just dont like Star Wars & its universe. Why doesnt Lucas do some thing new rather than keep on flogging this dead horse? All this Jedi "The Force" and light sabres is so yesteryear? The best bit are the lanky robots

Lucas? Erm... Star Wars clearly isn't your thing. This isn't the franchise you're looking for, move along.

Hera the green general ( a member of the Green lobby?) looks like she is wearing an aviators head gear from WW2 with goggles. And the over sized helmets of the soldiers......The bridge of the spaceship in eps 1 makes us glad for Star Trek. Strip away all the Star wars clobber and there is a decent story there. What I find tedious is the attempt at humour eg sabine wren's stupid alien cat. The attempt at cuteness is just irritating

Lol, you really don't know anything about star wars. Rebels = USA Empire = Nazis I'm not being facetious either the Empire is really modeled on the Nazi party. You can see it in their uniforms. WW2 memorabilia and designs and concepts have been in Star Wars since it's inception. Lucas hasn't been involved with Star Wars since the 3rd prequel movie. He signed away his life's work because people didn't like Jar-Jar Binks, and he didn't stick to his guns and make Jar-Jar the Sith Emperor, which would have been an actual good twist. I'm clearly missing something in this show though. Mandalorians are supposed to be this badass warrior society of hardened killers and warriors who train like Spartans of ancient Greece. And yet here we have this young girl who is basically a child, with radical rainbow hair who draws super cutesy cartoons everywhere... The Star Trek equivalent would be a Klingon showing up with a pink Bat'leth and rainbow hair. It just doesn't fit. It especially doesn't fit because Mandalorians typically wear helmets all the time (well, now that we've done The Mandalorian that's been retconned too), and would NOT be okay with someone leaving the order and keeping their Beskar armor. Clearly I missed something by not watching the jank CGI show they did for children that this is based off of. But I fear it's worse. I'm not one to complain about 'wokeness', I'm not retarded so I'm not Republican. However, there definitely has been some recent cases of 'wokeness' being inserted at the expense of good story telling and pacing. Overall though... not bad 7/10 so far from me. Her fighting on the spaceship was a nod to Luke Skywalker doing the same thing in the comics, only it was against a Star Destroyer and he was reflecting some massive beams with the force. Which... was as ridiculous as this scene was, but was definitely a nod to the comics, especially the jump and pick me up they did.
