Topic: Snowpiercer [Drama, Action, Sci-Fi]
https://next-episode.net/snowpiercer Watchlists: 4178
Snowpiercer is set seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, and the remnants of humanity inhabit a gigantic, perpetually moving train that circles the globe. Class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival are questioned in this riveting television adaptation.
The show has a good amount of known actors, and since learning that Chan-wook Park (Oldboy, The Handmaiden, ...) is one of the producers I'm looking forward to it even more. The Snowpiercer (2013) movie was good, let's see how this one turns out!

I've enjoyed 1x1. Well done, gave it a 8/10 initial rating.

You need to engage the suspension of disbelief a little bit harder here. Sure, that may be an option, but maybe there's a reason (that may or may not be revealed) why they don't do that. My bigger issue is another one: sure, the Amtrak Snow-mo Collision is fun to watch, but note the actual speed of the Rocky Mountain Snowplow doing its thing... So yeah, the whole concept of a train going that fast is a bit wonky, but I still plan to enjoy the show.

I'm okay with suspension of disbelief but that just had to be said. It's the most obvious solution to ridding themselves of the unwashed huddled masses It would take like 10 minutes to fix.

Re: Snowpiercer [Drama, Action, Sci-Fi]
Watched first episode until the end. What utter BILGE, can't imagine a series from The USA to be so BAD. The train carriages, in some scenes were so obviously too wide. What about track mantainance and if the weather was so snowy would have needed a snow plow. As in previous said, uncouple the last bloody carriage !!!!! I enjoy TV series with believe suspended, but watching this it was impossible too.

Going purely on the film as I have not yet seen this pilot yet... There is only one track so after several days/weeks/whatever, they will run into the back of the disconnected carriages.

Found some wind chill calculator, -120C at 80 kmh equals -180C Once I had to do some car maintenance work at -17C in the strong wind, still have it as one of the worst memories ever Watched the movie, these series are way more promising. Also a point from the movie - tail is free slaves

Re: Snowpiercer [Drama, Action, Sci-Fi]
So, 10 minutes into the second episode and we are seeing the same 3 carriages, on a train that should have 1001. I'll finish watching this, but that's it for this show. Not great.

Maybe you fell asleep while watching? I saw at least: 1) the poor section 2) the cockpit 3) plant production 4) animals 5) nightlife 6) bistro 7) first class (dining) 8) 'jail' 9) water tank/ seafood For a show with a limited budget that's okay for me. I bet they just carried over the "1001" number from the source material. I can live with that, even if it doesn't make perfect sense.

I said "show with a limited budget". Even if they had $15 million per episode it wouldn't be enough to show 100 different train sections, not even talking about the issue that each episode then would have to be 4 hours long. g371 wrote:Totally watchable show, meanwhile 10 others which are praised in this forum got a solid 1/5 from me
Yes, totally watchable. Mostly really good special effects. That's because you have a somewhat weird taste.

Film was way worse, I watched it just to compare. This is an average/a bit above average TV show. Beats watching FBI: Most Wanted without a doubt
