I watched the first 2 episodes of the The Event and I'm not really feeling it.
All the back and forth flashbacks are annoying and there is also no real thrill. I mean aliens which look like humans!? WTF is this? This is pretty boring. I was hoping for real aliens.
I think V is much better than TE.

Haha, what a coincidence! I watched Firefly also for the first time yesterday.. Had to see what all the fuzz was about, and I've always thought about downloading it but never came to it! Now I get to see it in HD Albeit only 720p..

But it is indeed awesome

For Fuck's Sake (FFS) why didnt you start with recommending FIREFLY? Best series ever made, and do you know why? Because every singel character is likable, i've never seen a show where i have not hated some of the cast. Even the bad guys are awesome!

Oh, if you like anime i can recommend some great series as well.

I dont like 24. I cannot understand the hype about it at all. A real-time series? What's so great about this? Do you see Jack Bauer brush his teeth or take a crap because it's so hyper realistic? Or do you see the clock all the time? I think this is a cheap gimmick.

What's Firefly about? Aliens and guns?

Yea... breaking bad is really the odd one out in that bunch... so what do u like realism or aliens and guns?
You've literally been recommended THE best tv shows in the last decade without even having to watch all the shitty ones and you start with The Event?
You should really embrace all the awesomeness regarding TV that has been given to you and start there... shit has anybody even mentioned Dexter?

Ok there's also this show I think you're gonna go bananas for! It's about these kids that have these super power voices and kick-ass moves, and oh yeah it's set in outer space. It's called GLEE after this one robot who also is the main character and he has a bazooka for an arm! Just right up your alley I think! Enjoy!
