Are you guys still using torrents to DL? Here in France it isn't possible anymore, they're tracking every torrent/emule user.

So no torrent for me!

So what are you using then? Usenet? One-Click-Download? FXP?

What are they not tracking? What do you use? Do I need to get my tinfoil hat from the closet?

Daemons are benevolent or benign nature spirits, beings of the same nature as both mortals and gods, similar to ghosts, chthonic heroes, spirit guides, forces of nature or the gods themselves.

Re: What torrent client are you using?

I use MLDonkey, runs headless on my Debian server, provides multiple interfaces (web, console, gui) and sends mail.

So what do you use instead.?

Re: What torrent client are you using?

As BlackBox guessed: Usenet for recent files and DDL for the rest. And I manage to find whatever I want. NZB's became my best friends!

Re: What torrent client are you using?

I always thought Bitorrent and bitcomet would be more popular. I Used Azerus but then i got utorrent when i realized you could choose what files in an torrent to download.

Re: What torrent client are you using?

You can do that with Azureus too. That's what I use. Would probably switch to uTorrent if the Mac version supported RSSFeeds. Having all torrents automized is nice. smile

Re: What torrent client are you using?

utorrent (2.2 at the moment), cant find a better client personally, and I've tried most of them!

Nivalis thats a great idea tobad most people would just leech. Thats why theres sites with ratio rules and such but I guess you could implement that also.

Yeah they do now but i dont think they use to.
Checked it out last night, i dont know why but it seemed to busy but yet too thin if you know what i mean. Its like New Winamp the new one is a lot busier yet not much new features.

Like the search function with azerus, what? Who would use that? It just google it for you, i mean come on. Its not like its in client either which at least would have eliminated a window, no it opens your browser.

But i guess its just like with Utorrent for someone who is use to Azerus.

i started with Azureus (Vuze) but it drained so much of my machine and then i was suggested uTorrent and now i use it, because it is simply great.

Me too, I used Vuze for years on both PC and Mac. Then because a site needed uTorrent to be used I switched and haven't looked back. I like the fact it uses less resources, the start up time is much quicker and had better features built in. Such as the scheduling for on and off peek times.

Re: What torrent client are you using?

The post is a bit old, but here's my input. I use Transmission now, after having used Vuze for a long time, but it started going firewalled on me for no reason that I could find. Wasted a LOT of time to figure it out, gave up and went back to Transmission which seems more stable. By the way I'm on Mac.  smile
