Re: Moonlight
Moonlight is an okey show and I think it's getting better. Obviously it's not even close to a Whedon-creation, but it's still okey.
Also, I think that I like the girl in the fireplace a bit to much to not watch this show

Re: Moonlightmoonlight is better then blood ties thats for sure , i was watching it before but now ive axed it lol due to poor writing, but its amazeing that shows still going , and it kills me when they axe shows like Traveler, The nine ect, tho im not sure if they axed that one yet but i wouldnt be suprized if it is or on its way. Re: Moonlightok, until now I was just watching the show because for some unknown reason I liked it. NOW I know the reason: They just presented the Best. Vampire Show. Storyline Twist. Ever. "The hammer - is my penis."
Re: MoonlightSo I went and watched all 9 eps of this show because of this thread, and I think it's pretty good so far. Lots of recognizable faces for me, including Sophia Myles (Underworld, Doctor Who), Kevin Weisman (Buffy, Alias) and Jason Dohring (Veronica Mars). I'm a big fan of Buffy/Angel, and though there are similarities, there are also very noticeable differences. I mean it's understandable, since David Greenwalt (writer and co-creator of Angel) was the original showrunner for Moonlight, though he has since had to leave for health reasons. That's one of the reasons I was interested in this show in the first place. If you want to compare it to Angel directly, then sure, there's the obvious vampire-who-wants-to-be-good so he becomes a detective, and then there's the parallels between the Mick-Coraline and Angel-Darla relationships. Also, both shows have their share of smoking hot ladies (and men, apparently). However, the tone of the shows is completely different. Angel is more fantastic (in terms of demons and monsters) and comedic (his arch enemy is a LAW FIRM), while Moonlight seems more centered on realism (after accounting for vampiric powers) and drama. And so far, at least, Moonlight has only been about vampires, not the multitude of demons that exist in the Buffyverse. I'm not saying that that's good or bad. So I'd have to say: If you like Moonlight and haven't seen Angel, you should see Angel. And if you like Angel, you should see Buffy. Hey, good thing to check out during the Writer's Strike. ;P. And yeah, I'll keep watching Moonlight. Re: MoonlightYou should always see Buffy. There should probably be a rule that says everyone has to watch Buffy. Because Buffy is good and so few people know that. Buffy good. Beer bad. God, I MISS that show.... "The hammer - is my penis."

The Logan Echolls character, is like at least 30% of the reason why Veronica Mars is really good, and Dohring definitely steals the show on a number of occasions in VM. (speaking of shows that are missed, /sadface) Oh, and regarding the comparisons between Moonlight and Angel. For the record, Angel had a thing for at least 3 different blondes (There was Buffy, "Creepy cop Lady" [Elisabeth Rohm's character.], and Darla. Don't remember if Werewolf chick was blonde, or not.) you definitely should!!! Re: Moonlight@ halo: count one and one together: there are quite some girls watching moonlight. you can tell from this thread. hmmm ... why do women like the show .... well probably because there is so much action and fighting scenes and just not enough space for any romance, because women just don't like romance .... hmm .... 49 2007-12-02 16:24:43 (edited by Halo2 2007-12-02 16:25:24)Posts: 26 to 50 of 142Forums - Next Episode → TV Show Discussions → Moonlight |
