I decided last week to give up on this show and take it off my watchlist.
looks like it was just in time.
I've not really had a good laugh from it for a while.
I'll check back for the last episode to find out who the **** the mother is

The episode had its' funny moments , I don't know why you all are so negative (except BB)
It also had weak parts but they weren't dominant...

Nah, I'm usually appreciative of HIMYM. But I thought the mermaid jokes and peekaboo-like jokes with the portrait were lame/childish

Community and TBBT just set too high a standard for sitcoms...even quality stuff just seems meh by contrast. I am happy that they're dealing with Ted's love life more...even if Zoe ain't gonna be the one. It moves the story forward, and I'm willing to compromise a punchline or two in order to avoid stagnant repetition...but then, moving forward into different circumstances makes for more opportunities for punchlines, so it's really win-win.
I thought it was a decent episode really. Not busting a gut laughing, but still good.

You're probably right about TBBT and Community setting an high standard. Still, I'll probably keep HIMYM until it gets cancelled, which is saying something because I have removed most shows I thought merely "good" or average
