Don't say that you'll get it cancelled.

i feel the same way.sadly nowadays it's a must in vampire storys(damn you twilight) on the other hand doomsday chick was born for this role.she just nailed it with this one.never really cared for her previous work,i mean she was just eyecandy in boston legal and i'm guessing in doomsday as well(never got myself to watch it),and uninteresting in sgu.but to cast her as a vampire was brilliant.she really looked undead.best portrayel of vampire i've seen in many many years. so is this show a eureka meets underworld or more like true blood meets desperate housewives ?

The young succubus is born in 1994! When the hell did people from that generation become more than cute?

Re: The Gates
Hmmm, a little too much family and angsty teen drama in ep 2. Hope thats not the focus of the show.

I think it's the latter. But I'm afraid it's too much Housewife and too little True Blood. But nobody can compete with TrueBlood anyway! I'll give it a few episodes though, I'd like to see where they take this. Will it be sort of an X-men twist, new people/creatures with new "powers" being found each episode? I must admit that a Succubus was new to my vocabulary!

Re: The Gates
Pilot episode was much better than Happy Town or Persons Unknown. And it's nice to see Rhona Mitra as a again.

Re: The Gates
Episode two was even better - that show has all you need this summer from a show: vampires, werewolves, eyecandy babes, crime, comedy, drama. This one is a keeper.

Re: The Gates
Just watched the latest ep... So the deputy has a thing in a box (her heart?) that she can't be parted with for long or she becomes ill, and she has it on display in a glass case. Shyeah right! Oh, and not only that, but she puts it back in the glass case even after the security within the gates has been shown to be vulnerable. Put it in a fucking safe ya dumb bitch!!!
