Topic: 6x23-24 Season Finale [Spoilers]

Oh my god, what can I say? I do not think I've actually seen a better season finale, at least not that I can think of right now. Although I must say it was quite obvious what were going to happen once I saw him, but just to an extent and absolutely not like this. It was long time ago since I actually sat up straight watching with 100% focus and sweating.

Re: 6x23-24 Season Finale [Spoilers]

Hmmm... so many series have finished their seasons with sad/depressing episodes (GA, Mentalist, Bones, Fringe, Castle).

Spoiler

The Mentalist: Patrick so close to Red John and helpless, Gray's Anatomy - massacre, Bones - the team falls apart, Castle - Rick leaves Kate and goes with his ex somewhere, Fringe - Olive captured.

And I used to complain about cliffhangers...

You know, it would be a good thing to tell which finales you're spoiling. hmm

Well, highlighting the spoiler is always a risk besides they are not such big spoilers, but OK I'll edit

Man that's got to be the world's slowest and worst swat-team ever. No-one bothered to watch those huge windows, could've clearly seen the shooter pointing the gun for minutes at Derek. What kind of strategy did they have? Wait until the shooter has no ammo left and then charge?

Thanks for editing. It IS a big deal because I'm sure many readers didn't see all the finales and besides you don't have to be excited only about cliffhangers involving deaths, accidents etc. smile

Re: 6x23-24 Season Finale [Spoilers]

It looks like I'll be the odd one out here, but here goes:
I'm actually disappointed! Don't get me wrong, it was very well done and I had my heart racing for the full 80 minutes. BUT: NO cliffhangers? Was this the SERIES finale? We have nothing to long for? No loose ends to tie up... Nope, this was too tied up for me.

This was what I spent most of the time thinking as well. Also, at one point they shoot the guy in the arm, and then just kind of wander off for no reason. What the.

Re: 6x23-24 Season Finale [Spoilers]

Interestingly the best episodes of Grey's Anatomy (for me) are the action-packed ones - the bomb-in-the-body episode with Christina Ricci a few seasons back and now this finale. It was epic, it had great storytelling and was extremely well done. The scene where Hunt comes into the scrub-room where Meredith and that annoying doctor are waiting, not looking at Cristina operating, and he tries to pretend that nothing is wrong in the OP, yet you get the feeling it is ... only to reveal that the gunman is in there. Wow. Just wow. The writing and direction in that scene were just superb. Too bad the remainder of the episodes isn't as good ...
