Re: 5x03 - Victory of the Daleks (May Contain Sarcasm)
Love Dr Who Love the Daleks This episode was shit, the Daleks have become a joke, he stood around having a nice old chat with them for half the episode. And that was after he spent 5 minutes smacking one on the head with a shovel and it did nothing. I remember the first episode with daleks with eccelstons Doctor. There was 1 dalek and everyone was running around shit scared cause it was just killing everyone...thats what should happen, not pastel coloured power ranger daleks that have a nice old chat. ....after such a good start to the series, maybe they are trying to appeal to the kiddies more now...after all there are 6 different coloured daleks now...great for marketing the new toys.

Re: 5x03 - Victory of the Daleks (May Contain Sarcasm)
First, I usually love when the Doctor acts doctorly (so I was suppsed to like the "if he's human he's not a bomb bit, but it makes no sense, would've if he was some sort of cyborg made of the remains of a fallen 1stWW soldier and remembering his humanity turned of the daleky upgrades - it would have been a rip off of the Vader redemption scene in motif, but at least would make sense). I also get the "Sci Fi is the new fairy tale" speech Moffat used in an intervew, have professed that one myself including academically. Third (or shoud I say TURD) Daleks have been made laughably silly before (i.e. before the RTDavies era) but the, that is NO excuse for the color coded bigger Daleks. Were they not supposed to be pure Dalek? If they are pure, how come they are different? AAAGH. As with "The beast below" this would be much much better if it were a two parter, where tention would built, etc. I may have bought the bigger badder (HA") Daleks if they have been better explained, though nothing justifies the new eyepiece and the plasticky colour sceme. "He is the art director, exterminate, EXTERMINATE!!!" No surprise: this is the first non-Moffat episode of the Moffat era. Mark Gatiss should be wipped or caned for half an hour in the London Tower. What, you brits, don't do that anymore? I'm so sad. As for space fairing spitfires, the gravity bubble includes an air pocket, just like the one around the Tardis, this is not only implied, but also mentioned (plus it looks cool, as Spitfires always look cool).

Re: 5x03 - Victory of the Daleks (May Contain Sarcasm)
Did anyone else notice the new Daleks had giant arses too? After a good start to the series this was really bad imo. I also don't like the way that the pointers to the larger story of the season aren't being subtly placed, in fact they are being practically pointed at with a giant arrow. I much preferred it when the writers assumed a level of intelligence and observation in their viewers and placed clues subtly at first and then more obviously as we got closer to the larger event - for example Rose appearing on screens calling for the doctor in the build-up to the end of series 4. On the plus side Amy Pond is gorgeous, and a red head, and has a Scottish accent :-D

Miss Gillian is absolutely gorgeous! The Doctor has had some pertty girls walking about in the Tardis, Billie Piper and Freema Agyeman, come on! Anyone who saw Billie Piper naked on The Secret Diary of a London Call Girl knows those jeans and jacket Rose wore did not do her justice. Freema though, does not require nudity to shine her hot chocolate beauty all over. Dear God that woman is beautiful, worth watching even the crappiest episodes of Year2 of the 10th Doctor over and over.
However ...
Karen Gillian is on another level of hotness. I am a photographer and live in Southern Brasil, so as you can guess, I am used to beautifull women walking about, and Karen would fit right in here, on any runway or photoshot. I can even go through an episode filled with gay rainbow daleks singing Go West to have a glimpse at her.
But I sincerely hope the Weeping Angels give us a beeter overall Doctorly experience tomorrow. As a bonus, a wallpaper of the Piper era (a wallPiper) with proper daleks

By the way did anyone notice the "Are you my mother?" when they were wearing gasmasks? (maybe(obiously) a reference to the doctor who episode where kids that are looking for their mothers got gasmasks growing on their faces)

Re: 5x03 - Victory of the Daleks (May Contain Sarcasm)
"Are you my mommy"is already a Doctor Who classic quote, almost as "wibbly wobly timey wimey" and "it's bigger on the inside". Fans all over the world recognize the reference. PLUS, and this is a very important PLUS, Empty Child was the first (and thus far, in my opinion, best - though I give Blink a LOT of credit) episode Steven Moffat wrote. There is a very logical reason why he is in charge now, go back the previous 4 seasons and pick the best episodes of each. Look at the writer: it's Moffat.
