I had to vote worse, but that seems unfair. So far Matt Smith has been pretty good. I do still kinda think both he and his companion are too young but they pulled it off fine. I had to vote worse though because Tennant was extremely good (and I wasn't always that keen on some of the stories/angles) and it'll take more time for Smith to prove himself any better. So far I am optimistic about the Moffat/Smith era.

I say better because Amy Pond (Karen Gillan) is like 9 billion times hawter than Donna Noble (Catherine Tate).

That was sorta on topic. It talked about how the "new" Doctor always gets bad reviews from people who liked the previous Doctor. Also it talked about how regeneration is a tramatic experience for the Doctor. The actor who is playing him has to play that. Also any new Doctor has to get used to the role. Also keep in mind that they are doing scripts that were written for the previous actor at least for the first few shows that they do.
