Re: 6x09 - Spoilers

well if Black Rock is over 140 years in that island, then i find it hard to belive it is still in one piece.

140 years in that climate is impossible for a wooden ship to last.

Seriously? Of all things on this show to point out as being unrealistic, you chose the aging process of a wooden boat...?

well the other things are too unrealistic. this is more like a typo somewhere of a goof in a movie. like sunglasses in roman legion.

Re: 6x09 - Spoilers

I found it entertaining the writers choose the "hell"-angle as a detail in the plot of this episode. It was feared back in when season 3 was around that the writers would ultimately say the world the Losties live in is hell and be done with the story. It would be immensely lame and I'm glad to see they gave a wink in that direction.

I did suspect Christian (Jack's father) to turn up in this episode as Evil (now Locke) or anti-Evil (used to be Jacob), because I'm still motivated he has a too big of a role in the story line to not be related to the island. His multiple encounters with Jack, but also Claire (did she know him ?), alongside Jacob. In a few episodes I'll know if my hunch is correct...

This episode was awesome, it was entertaining to see the writers and producers do a different time and place, also the acting and dialogue was damn good. To think this is a series at their last season, the board could have decided to give it a cheap ending and be done with it but the writers and producers are showing they will end this series with a grand finale.

Yeah, it's also impossible for a human being to last, but Richard is looking pretty darn good.  tongue

Nope, they don't.  Humans age and wrinkle and eventually die and putrefy until they're just bones.  And they do that in almost any climate.

If Richard can't die, I see no contradiction in the Black Rock lasting as long as it has on the island.

Re: 6x09 - Spoilers

Maybe Jacob Touched the Black Rock also!

Indeed - seriously? tongue

I find it much more unbelievable, that the Black Rock knocked down the giant stone statue and went at least 1 km into the jungle and is still in one piece - that was a strange tsunami wink

The rest of the episode was extremely well written and made sense - I loved the very ending at most big_smile

Re: 6x09 - Spoilers

Yeah I always thought the statue was much bigger (about 100m/300ft tall) than they portrayed it in this episode. Apparently the Black Rock was really well built as it seems to knock down statues and still get about halfway into the island. I was hoping for pirates, though.
