Topic: Season 9 Finale = Show Finale?
Season 9 of Scrubs ended without a cliffhanger and without any big bang. I actually didn't know this was the last episode until I looked for the next one  I hope this was the very end of Scrubs (Med School) because it aint Scrubs without JD or the Janitor. The remaining characters did a nice job with acting as usual but that was not enough IMHO. But apparently the viewers disagree: Drawing its biggest audience in its last 8 original telecasts, ABC's "Scrubs" generated its best numbers since December with Total Viewers (4.3 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.5/5-tie) since 12/8/09 and 12/15/09, respectively.

I don't really care that much for JD anymore, but the janitor was sorely missed in this last season. Luckily, he (Neil Flynn) has his own show now, "The middle". Check it out, it's not bad.

Guess ABC wanted to show NBC that it made a good financial decision by purchasing Scrubs as a brand. And they've failed. Scrubs is no Scrubs without JD OR Janitor.

well i still have hope (if they continue) that it will be funny again .... one day  did all the old writers quit with the ending of seasion 8?

This season was far from the worst that Scrubs has had. ...and I don't know why people miss JD...he was the lamest, least funny character! Every one of his punchlines was exactly the same as the punchlines from the first seasons...and it was good then, but now it just gets repetitive and old hat.
The new blond JD was the worst character of the new batch, because her jokes were the same, and we weren't programmed to appreciate the same lameness in a different character.
Cole and #1 are the freshest additions to the show in a long time. Also, I don't miss Janitor as much as I thought I would. -Rob

Maybe because I didn't watch Scrubs until the last couple of seasons, but I thought Srubs MD was good, I missed a few of the charactors from Scrubs, but it was still good.

But now there is no chance of ABC renewing it for a tenth season, due to the ratings.

whoa, I'm a little surprised - at least I was hoping for some good ending and they just left it hanging there, on the street, alone, in the rain, like some old used who... erkhm, anyway - it has some good years, the 'new' season kinda sucked indeed, but overall I'm a little (or maybe more than a little) disappointed that we didn't get proper ending with the old cast.
