Re: 1x00 - "The Arrival"

It's most likely a short summary of the first four ep's. The same thing is for FF.

Re: 1x00 - "The Arrival"

Of course - but you don't want to miss it. Unless you watch all the eps in advance wink

Re: 1x00 - "The Arrival"

I remember enough. Also, it's not likely that someone will rip it.

Re: 1x00 - "The Arrival"

So, is this new version any good.?
I never saw the 80's showing of it.

I'm a huge fan of the 80's version. This one has obviously the same story, but uses a different, more modern approach (like BSG). I like it a lot. It's a nice sci-fi, crime, alien conspiracy, drama big_smile

Re: 1x00 - "The Arrival"

Weird. Why would you want to describe only four episodes in an entire new episode instead of in a 'previously on' segment. Are the Americans so dumb that they can't remember simple (compared to Lost or Fringe) plot lines? Or maybe they're too lazy to spend ~3 hours watching everything again?

What is weirder is why a network would screen a mere 4 episodes of a show knowing it had a 2-3 month break coming up...why bother, you risk either people who watch the first few episodes losing interest in that time and not watching it when it returns or people not seeing the first few episodes and figuring they will have missed too much when it starts again to bother watching it.

Seriously, who in their right mind would think it was a good idea? Unless of course they had absolutely no faith in the show, only paid and shot 4 episodes to see if their was any interest and then gave the go ahead for a few more episodes over the break..???
