Topic: Babylon 5
Babylon 5
I've finished watching that show about a month ago, including all films and crusade. I wasn't very happy that they ended both Babylon 5 and Crusade. Maybe it was good for B5, as they seemed to have planned that 5 years, but Crusade ended pretty much too soon. That universe is almost as compelling as that from Star Wars. I has everything one can hope for: characters, great story line, background and lots of dirt. What's most important, I stopped thinking about the age of visual effects after first few episodes. Recently I've even got The Babylon Project to get back to B5 Universe It was really frustrating to battle against Minbari forces in the Earth-Minbari war

crusade is a spinoff, yes. babylon 5 is magnificent, but crusade is... well.... not so good. it might have gotten there eventually, but it was canceled after one season. if you have never watched B5, you might have a problem with the dated cgi, but like fizyk says here, just let the story take over and soon you wont notice great show. one of the best shows ever in my opinion.

Re: Babylon 5
I was tempted to stop watching The Big Bang Theory after Shedlon remarked that B5 wasn't SciFi... Legend of the Rangers was promising but then SyFy wimped out on making it into a series For everything JMS says about Lost Tales I rather enjoyed it even though it had a very limited budget - one of the best bits there was the sock-puppet version in the DVD extras

It seemed like in the middle, since the last episode looked like one to suggest solutions or even ends some part of the plot.

Re: Babylon 5
I've read somewhere, that writers for DS9, or Voyager were forced to invent and place some rubbish non-important technical talk just to fill the time of episodes, haven't had that impression in B5, however I've seen only a handful of episodes from Voyager and DS9 and I'm just finishing first season of Enterprise.

She was not a good captain... I'd have preferred it if 7 had taken over... I mean she basically took over the show but yeah, Janeyway was the worst!

Re: Babylon 5
I have been a fan of Babylon 5 from the beginning, well written, directed, acted and produced consider its budge was on a shoestring a brilliant series, worth watching. Star trek DS9 did actually steal the concept of Babylon 5 which is a shame as i feel the series even after the movies had so much more to say and the fandom was strong and loyal. I am extremely curious with this new series coming out and as 5 of the cast members have passed away.
