Topic: Some movies I have recently watched
Star Quest : The Odyssey -> very very crappy movie. complete waste of time. very low budget, almost no acting and too much influenced by Star Trek series. Beast Within. originally an german movie. but i tend to hate movies that are crappy zombie movies. recently there's way too many of them. if really bored then ok to watch. Polar Storm. well this sci-fi tackles a different theme (magnetic storms / polar shift) and has a good lead character. but thats about it. another movie to watch if really bored an nothing to do. A Perfect Getaway. decent movie. some suspence and it keeps building up. worth watching. 2012: Supernova. another complete waste of time. bad subject, bad acting etc. etc. Hardwired. they got some decent actors playing here, but thats about it again. in a way the plot of the movie makes sense, but they failed to make it work. only if really bored. The Tournament. again some decent actors, but watch only if bored. this movie reminds Death Race, but death race is way better. District 9. i liked and enjoyed the movie. G.I. Joe. not too bad again. lots of action that keeps you going till the end.

Mutants. crap House of the Devil. one full hour of nothingness and then a little bit (15 minutes) of action and no horror. crap.

Re: Some movies I have recently watched
so i went to see 2012. lets see the fine part 1st. ok some really awesome special efects. i really really enjoyed this part. the story itself was not too shabby, but what i really hated about this movie was how the main characters were depicted. after halfway thru the movie, it started to get also too slow. i thought hollywood had grown out of that, but they still seem to use it. and the movie as a little too long.

the best I've seen Dennis Quaid "act" was back in the very late 90s when he did "Any given Sunday"...

Daemons are benevolent or benign nature spirits, beings of the same nature as both mortals and gods, similar to ghosts, chthonic heroes, spirit guides, forces of nature or the gods themselves.

Re: Some movies I have recently watched
Zombieland - loved it Inglourious Basterds - hated it almost as much as other Tarantino's films although Brad Pitt's italian accent was hilarious Gamer - meh, should have been better Paranormal Activity - mediocre film with crappy/good ending (theatrical/other) Moon - relatively good sci-fi The Canyon - great thriller with a HORRIBLE ending Pandorum - good sci-fi horror aside from Dennis Quaid's awful acting Superbad - loved it 2022 Tsunami - the people who made it should drown Terminator Salvation - piece of shit The Answer Man - I'm not a big fan of romantic comedies, but it was watchable The Taking of Pelham 123 - worse than I expected, but still reasonably good I Love You, Beth Cooper - crap Sex Drive - watchable Observe and Report - crap Land of the Lost - piece of shit

Re: Some movies I have recently watched
Antichrist - i dont really watch horror movies, but because of the trailer i watched this one. and it was quite something. Public Enemies - Good movie overall, but something was missing. we never really got to know john dillinger all that well. but i loved the ending. Star Trek - Ok movie. not really all that great in my opinion. but enjoyable. Inglorious Basterds - Good movie. but not as much fun as i was hoping it would be. Transformers 2 - I really got a headache from this movie. there was just too much explosions all the time and the story was completely meaningless and i couldn't follow it. GI JOE - i dont know why i watched it, but it was just as bad as I thought it would be. Moon - I was super hyped for this movie, thinking it would be something similar to Sunshine, but i was overall pretty dissapointed. Bruno - Pretty funny. overall a thumbs up. The Hangover - pretty meh, i dont really know why people loved this so much. but it wasnt bad either. Watchmen - I didn't read the graphic novel. and the movie was so-so. but i did like the philosophic undertones and it made me think i probably should have read it instead. Terminator Salvation - I love Terminator 2 and its really dissapointing how bad and meaningless the successing movies have been. The Taking of Pelham 123 - I watched the original movie when I saw the trailer for the remake, and it was much better than the remake. the remake was so utterly meaningless and boring. I really love caper movies but this was just not good. Zombieland - Great movie, not Shaun of the Dead. but still pretty great. Angels and Demons - MEH. i really wish they would make these movies as interesting as you'd think they'd be. District 9 - Finally a terrific movie. my favourite movie of the year so far. It was funny, different, unexpected and overall a super great movie in my opinion.

Re: Some movies I have recently watched
Twilight - New Moon. Terrible, terrible, terrible. Worse than the critics are saying. Even the teen girls coming out of the screening were saying how it was a waste of 2 hours of their life and and they want it back. The female lead (while cute) is so unlikeable and just a whinny, sulky, self absorbed prick tease, I really dont know how anyone is going to relate to her and enjoy watching her mope for 2 hours. Seriously, save your money, or save your bandwidth and dont bother.

If I was going to see anything Twilight related I would expect the cinema to pay me! I refuse to even add them to my DVD rental queue. And nivvy, I think the word you were looking for was subdued.

Re: Some movies I have recently watched
I quite like a few of the books in the Twilight series, they are actually very popular, but also very hated. You either hate it or love it, or that seems to be the general opinion. But I would honestly never pay to see the movies either.

Re: Some movies I have recently watched
AstroBoy - was better than i expected. I took my nephew who has since been obsessed with AstroBoy. Although a few days after when watching the downloaded version at home he had a question for everything that happened in the movie - which means his eyes must work fine - but his tiny little brain can't process any information yet. He is only 4. Astro is targetted at a higher age group i think. For kids and immature AstroBoy loving adults - this is a good enough AstraBoy. One great thing - warched at 12pm on a Monday - 2 people in the cinema - my Nephew and myself - a private screening just for us!

Re: Some movies I have recently watched
So tonight was Saw VI night for me. Saw now has established itself as a quite decent movie, where you actually have to think alongside, or you will get lost. and this one was not different. in a way they could make dozens of saw movies, because if you keep up the good script, threw in some gore and blood and horror, then you have a perfect combo that keeps people watching it. i mean it was not as great as some other saw movies, but it was decent. i liked it a lot.

Re: Some movies I have recently watched
Jennifer's Body - well... the story is kinda meh... but it got Amanda Seyfried (the dead girl and best friend of Veronica Mars) and Megan Fox in it... so I figured wth, it's for free and I got no shows to watch while on the train anyways... so i watched it... And I must say it's a good thing i just watched it on the train rides... else, I wouldn't have watched it, I think...
