Topic: Best New Show on TV?

Anyone else agree?

I truly think its one of the most inspired and original comedies to come along in years.

The cast is stellar, with Jason Lee being the standout (as always), and the writing is hilarious.

Hell, the costumes and sets are perfect too!

Any "Earl" thoughts?

Fantastic show with loveable characters.
Jason Lee steals the show, as per usual.
If you haven't checked it out yet, you are missing out on some truly Gold TV.

Oh man, it's so awesome to have a weekly dose of Jason Lee.  My Name Is Earl is fantastic.  Three things it has going for it that a lot of shows don't:

1. It's shot like an indie film.  It's consistently beatiful.
2. Every episode has an extremely positive message, and a happy ending!
3. JASON LEE, kiddo!

ok...watched the first episode. have to say wasnt overly crash hot about it. so is the rest of the series going to be about his karma and trying to get even. hmmm. have to say this show seems to be a bit saddd.

Sad?  You don't think they idea of a guy winning the lottery and using that money to help improve people's lives is super-positive?  Pretty much every episode ends with someone's life being changed for the better!  big_smile

Plus, the Crabman is fantastic.

it's one of those feel good, family oriented, christian crap show so yeah i second the show being sad. seriously how long do u think they can keep that whole karma crap without it getting seriously banal. I'd rather watch according to jim.

Well - now after the season 1 finale I must say that they did a very good job! This show is far from being sad! And as you should know, karma has nothing to do with christianity wink
There should be more of these shows which have a serious positive way of thinking and a very funny way of story telling.
There are enough shows out there with ridiculous violence and demolition.
Don't get me wrong! I really like shows like 24, Thief, NUMB3RS wink

I enjoyed every episode and think My Name Is Earl is hilarious and funny. I'm looking forward to season 2 premiere big_smile

I totally agree. It is really positive show, and the last episode about the first episode (ticket I mean) was awsome, really nice idea.

Also looking forward for second season. Let the Karma be with you ; ].
