Daemons are benevolent or benign nature spirits, beings of the same nature as both mortals and gods, similar to ghosts, chthonic heroes, spirit guides, forces of nature or the gods themselves. 3 2009-08-29 00:57:03 (edited by wckiller 2009-08-29 00:58:48)Re: Inglourious BasterdsOkay... So I just returned home from the movie theatre (11pm GMT+1 showing + 154mins + couple mins talking to buddies after movie)... Yes, I watched that movie in a movie theatre, yes, I PAID for it (more than for the last DVD I bought) and YES! It was SO worth it! ▼Spoiler The Rest of the Movie is just plain awesome and I admire Tarantino for his ability to build tention in a scene. He's a Master at that. Bottom Line without spoilering too much: GO TO THE FUCKING MOVIE THEATRE AND WATCH THAT MOVIE!!!! nuff said! Re: Inglourious BasterdsI agree. Great movie, 5 chapters each with its own little cat and mouse game (with the added bonus that sometimes you don't know who the cat and who the mouse is), tension pure. For me the second or third best Tarantino after Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction. Re: Inglourious Basterdspaisley1 wrote:
Interesting, people point that out, but I felt that for a Tarantino movie the violence was kind of muted (except for the very end). Mostly Tarantino is very up-close and personal with the blood and gore (see Kill Bill), but in Inglourious Basterds he usually pulled back and even *gasp* cut away ... Re: Inglourious BasterdsWell... there was a few scalps cut off... and a few bullets went flying... and that one dude was beat to death... and the cutting into the forehead... the shooting at the bar... putting finger in wounds... yes, it's no Kill Bill... but it's very good :-) .... tention is better than Kill Bill... + ▼Spoiler Re: Inglourious BasterdsRe: Inglourious BasterdsLoved the movie... You probably heard we ain't in the prisoner-takin' business; we in the killin' Nazi business. And cousin, Business is a-boomin' my 2nd fav line in that movie...LOL!!! The human body can be drained of blood in 8.6 seconds given adequate vacuuming systems.

awww, thats so nice to know that you were thinking of me whilst watching a movie.... *cough* hehe But yes, you were 100% right about the way I would feel - again... awesome movie! Re: Inglourious BasterdsOrlando wrote:
That line made me laugh for a long time, it's just epic ! I loved the movie, mainly because the suspense is built up not through sudden sounds or closeups. Pure acting combined with very good characters and a good screenplay. This is more like a theater show than a movie, it doesn't use cheap tactics to get where it needs to be. This might be one of Brad Pitt's best movies too. Posts: 13Forums - Next Episode → Movies General Discussion → Inglourious Basterds |
