Again, not true - What is wrong with you guys today??? Get the phone on PAYG and then software unlock it and use any network carrier with any plan of your choosing...how hard is that? Thats what I did with my 3G!
How about...NO!
Daemons are benevolent or benign nature spirits, beings of the same nature as both mortals and gods, similar to ghosts, chthonic heroes, spirit guides, forces of nature or the gods themselves.

I admit that a phone without internet is fine and you can live perfectly happy like that... but once you get an iphone or blackberry or wtv, and you realize the potential.. there is just no going back...Trust me, I realise the potential, I just don't feel like spending money on having internet on my small display phone, when I can use my laptop or home pc for that...
If it would work on my work-paid phone I'd use it once in a while, for looking up smtn, but never to browse forums and such...I dont think you do realise the potential!!
The whole point is having access to the internet instantly where ever you are, I wouldn't use it at home when my PC is available (nobody is claiming that lol) , and if I'm out and about do you really want to boot up your laptop just to check something quickly?? By the time you've dragged it out of your bag, I've already looked up whatever it is and moved on ;P
Its not just internet, it has google maps... so essentially you have a GPS, even when you aren't in your car, or *gasp* how about using it to make a phone call or listen to music or take a photo as well.
The whole point of it is convenience, claiming you use your PC or laptop instead sorry to say is missing the point completely.
I'm the first to admit its not a necessity, but how many people that have one don't gush about how great it is??
Maybe they are on to something ;D
It's just more convenience, that's it... Prolly in a year or 2 everyone will have a similar phone to do all that where ever they are... It was the same thing with the beginning of mobile phones!
I started pretty late using a mobile phone, only got one when I started driving a car, so if smtn would happen, I could call for help
Now I've got navigation on my phone, so that helps allot as well, not having to printout your route and getting lost anyway...
So the convenience thing the iPhone is now, will prolly change into something SO useful I'm gonna use it as well, for now my Nokia N73 works perfectly

Re: Would you buy a $5 next-episode.net iphone application if it was avail
Does it come with a free iPhone?
Re: Would you buy a $5 next-episode.net iphone application if it was avail
I would rather see a Symbia s60V5 application/widget, specifically for nokia 5800
I'll even code it if people want it, just need to figure out what to code it in.
Re: Would you buy a $5 next-episode.net iphone application if it was avail
As much as i'd want to do suicide by code, no
I'm working on making a widget for symbian phones now, but it sort of depends what features people actually want

Re: Would you buy a $5 next-episode.net iphone application if it was avail
To answer the title of the thread, no, i wouldn't actually pay for an application.
