Topic: Starbucks broken fingers

In episode 5 of season 2 'The Farm', whilst Kara is in a Cylon baby factory, Cylon Simon says to her that an examination of her revealed "A LOT OF FRACTURES FROM CHILDHOOD", he continued "IT'S INTERESTING HOW YOU MANAGED TO BREAK EVERY FINGER ON BOTH HANDS, EVERY BREAK IN EXACTLY THE SAME PLACE BETWEEN THE FIRST AND SECOND KNUCKLE."  He then asked Kara "DID SOMEONE BREAK YOUR FINGERS KARA?".

Forgive me if this is going over old ground, but was this covered anywhere else in the series? I don't recall hearing anymore about this.

Cylon Simon mentioned "CHILDREN OF ABUSIVE PARENTS OFTEN FEAR PASSING ALONG THAT ABUSE TO THEIR OWN CHILDREN".  How would he have known it was her parents who inflicted the injuries?

Could the injuries have been consistent with a piano keyboard lid being slammed down on her hands by her father maybe?

While I do like your theory, according to the oh so crap-tastic finale, Starbuck is and was angel the whole time (??????) so EVERYTHING said about her before and leading up to the finale is, as Joey from Friends would say, "a moo point".

Though I do agree with you that starbuck "The Angel" was a massive copout, what he is talking about is well before she died and became the angel.

I just think that's something they shot right past and just dropped as a loose end that didn't need tying up, or was somehow forgotten in the fold of wrapping it up.

there was an episode were kara tells that her mother slammed the door on her fingers for some prank she (Kara) did when she was a child.

Dont remember which episode. check it out for yourself...

ya, at the end of season 3, episode 3x17 I believe...
I'm not one of those people who remembers the exact number of every ep,  the only reason I remember this particular ep is cuz my friend is still on the 3rd season and i just saw parts of that that ep. Also, I remember thinking how convenient it was that ep 3x17 was all about Kara's mom and ep 4x17 was all about Kara's dad.
If the writers did that purposely it's very cool but it also makes me mad b/c it shows that they aren't complete idiots, they just can't write an ending worth sh!t
