i'm hoping he's not going to "die", but given all the rumour and such as to Tennant's future as the Doctor, this is a little scary... but i'm sleeping well at night confident this is a ruse and what ensabrenur is saying is pretty much what it is...

it should. Unless somehow, for some stoopid reason n-e has jacked into aus tv schedules. (apparently we don't see the christmas specials on air until around october or such)

Tennant will do one more series in 2009 and then step down in 2010 to make way for the next doctor.

It's possible we've already had a glimpse of the new doctor when a clip of the Xmas Special was shown during a charity telethon in November - David Morrissey also plays the Doctor in this special and bets are on that he'll be Tennant's replacement:

@caruthers.. possible, but i doubt it. "the next doctor"... hmm ... personally i smell a ruse... just like "the day rose tyler died", or "one will not survive this battle" (or whatever donna's prediction was)... too easy methinks...

The 'other dcotor' will be a previous doctor tennant has bumped into. Stands to reason that with time travelling he would eventually bump into a previous persona
