Just a lot of River dashing from A to B to C, too much Frank Harkness, not enough Jackson Lamb. IMO. American kids learn the mnemonic HOMES for the Great Lakes. By Executive Order it's now SHAME.

I'd give it until the end before casting judgement but I do get your point (with 2/3 done) 179 2026-10-09 07:48:27 (edited by g371 2026-10-09 07:52:22)Re: Slow HorsesNot great, but watchable season. A shocker - Russian lang so criminal that I need to read English subtitles to decrypt what they attempt to say. Also had to pick a city in RU which they cannot pronounce, lol (approx. like to call London a Rondon).. 29 years old young person is saving all this. Re: Slow Horsesg371 wrote:
Thanks for the insight! I've often wondered if the non-English languages on screen are accurate. American kids learn the mnemonic HOMES for the Great Lakes. By Executive Order it's now SHAME.

Russian almost never is, except if actors are natve speakers, but even then 50/50 lines itself can be dumb/Google Translate. Minimum sounds funny, often funny + dumb or formal - and if they try to portray some "scary" Russians it comes out as a comedy, not scary at all 😃 Posts: 176 to 181 of 181Forums - Next Episode → TV Show Discussions → Slow Horses |
