Can't wait for this smile

Loved the original Private Eyes. One of my favorite light hearted PI shows. It's similiar to the earlier Castle seasons.

The trailer hit all the right spots smile

I never heard of the original but I too thought this trailer ticked all the boxes I like for a PI show.  Looking forward to checking this out & hopefully we'll want to watch the orig seasons as well.

You never saw it?  Lucky you because now you can discover it brand new - binge it - and slide right in to the new one.

i only saw the first few episodes of season one.
it felt like a budget castle without the energy and spark of castles ensemble.
i always planned to go back and watch more in the off season.. but there is hardly an off season anymore.

there was another show that was a little better, two women cops.  rizz and something...

pirates were the first democratic organizations in the new world
and the first organizations where women could lead men

Rizzoli and Isles?
Also one of the great ones, personally I think Rizzoli is one of the best written female characters on TV.

First episode felt a bit hectic, but other than that - as if they'd never left smile

Also good to see Olivia Cheng again, haven't seen her since Warrior ended.

s01e01 - Yeah I liked it.  Hectic maybe, but they covered a lot of ground fast and I'd rather they do that than take the entire show to cover the gap between shows.  Cover it and move on.

I hope his daughter shows up later, maybe as an occasional re-occurring part.

The new half-brother that has all the hook-ups - meh... Feels like the butler dude in Preistly's other show "Wild Cards".  I kinda liked how they covered it quickly though:

He's just that guy.  He babysit's someone's ball python for a weekend and they're friends for life.

Yeah, there does always seem to be someone like that around.

And of course, the trope of the of young college hacker protégé.  She'll be a regular part of the team for sure.

But I liked that it had the same feel.  Light, up beat.  Poked fun at new parents not sleeping.  (New mom at 48 though makes it seem like they are ignoring the actress's real age).  And a bit of reality thinking that they have to do a work from home situation and not a dedicated office.  That's all very real-ish

True, I also want as many guest appearances as possible - at least Jules, Zoe and Maz hopefully.

Tbh. it would be cool if they did 1-2 Seasons of West Coast and then they move back to Toronto and continue with the original show + supporting cast smile
They did say that they were only there to help Will after his accident.
