It follows the Commander-in-Chief and his eccentric staff as they tackle the kind of crises that Rick Sanchez could never be bothered with - from interdimensional diplomacy to paranormal investigations and unexplained phenomena.

Not a bad first episode, good piss-take from R&M.

"Wow, they spin-off so fast"
"I'll give them 10 episodes"

Gotta love it when you aren't even sure whether something is supposed to be a reference. This is a red door, which someone seems to have started painting black.

Re: President Curtis

not as good as rick and morty, but R&M is not that good anymore either.

i give it a 6/10 over all.
some real reoccurring macguffins used as crutches to solve story lines.

comedy is a 5/10 not horrible but nothing laughing out loud either.

its a cartoon so can i really take away marks for 2 dimensional characters?

YES I CAN. and i did.
there are not  break out people in this show. no "best of show" if you will.
nothing memorable. nothing i rewound to see/hear again.
even the references to other shows fell flat for me.

i hope it improves and not stagnates.

Re: President Curtis

I didn't think I'd care for this at all but yeah, this is one of my favorite shows now.

Re: President Curtis

episode 6
was a hash of rick and morty episodes jumbled together.
some of the under grounders were copies of aliens.

Hmm, maybe the opening line from Paint it, Black by the Rolling Stones?

Re: President Curtis

the season was watchable. but not memorable or re watchable.
i doubt the last episode could make me wait for season 2 with any kind
of anticipation.

as an adult cartoon it had its moments.
the cartoon violence was laughable in its gratuitousness
it felt like it was only there because it would not be an adult
cartoon without it.
pretty much everything else about the show was child level.

i expect most of the episodes were abandoned ideas left on the floor from rick and morty
then tweaked for this show.

i would not watch it a second time there is nothing good enough to justify that.

Re: President Curtis

Do I have to have watched R&M to "get" this, or can it stand on its own?

American kids learn the mnemonic HOMES for the Great Lakes. By Executive Order it's now SHAME.
Bravo.

it is completely self standing.
but if you like it, R&M will be like scripture compared to these ramblings.

You don't, at all. But if you didn't like Rick and Morty this is probably gonna be a swing and a miss.

Personally, it's okay. I'm watching it, and occasionally a few jokes are landing. It does seem like they're going out of their way to establish some depth to the characters for whatever reason.

I'll keep watching it, because we're in something of a dry spell of shows I like, and I've got nothing else to watch. Except for South Park, and those guys are still killing it after almost 30 years now.

Re: President Curtis

Yeah, I'm struggling a bit for shows, too. I kind of enjoyed episode one (the 20-seconds-to-comply Robocop in storage made me chuckle) and I've already decided to watch ep 2. Thanks R&M fans!

Re: President Curtis

season ended much as it started.
i would give it a 6/10 over all.
when you have time to waste, its something to watch.
they are trying too hard to make the character  prez curtis "interesting"
almost like they are trying to prove they are not a one hit wonder.
the side kicks both feel like they were "focus group"ed into existence.
like they had a list of super features they wanted, then made characters to fit.

it still needs polishing. and to find its groove.
