this show is about the same as all of her shows.
all about her and just over 59% funny.

more comedy about her life and events in her life.
worth watching, but not making a night out of it.

she seems quite angry and it mostly works for her.

pirates were the first democratic organizations in the new world
and the first organizations where women could lead men

Polite and positive comedy in most cases is lame and not funny, she for sure is not shooting glitter from her bottom, but has a high concentration of hilarious jokes.

i would not call her comedy polite and positive.

i would call it more like she is abusing herself and her choices mostly, her husband second ( in this one, he is gone in a few years).

i am sure a lot of people identify with her. and laugh at a lot of what she says.
i know a lot of women who do and love her.

she is pretty good at it.

but it is not a style i like a lot.
at least she mostly avoids being political or religious.

she is not as bad or as good as taylor tompson.

I am sorry.

But I cannot even stomach that shrill voice. I actually get a migraine when that harpie speaks.

There are a couple of other comics that I cannot enjoy. Because they irk me. smile

I googled  who do self deprecating race jokes. The list was bigger than I thought, yet Ali Wong was not on it.

I've watched all of her Netflix specials and, overall, enjoyed them.

But...

She says a lot of stuff that is kind of gross (that gets old fast). I also have a problem with women comics these days. Yes, they have some funny material - all comics do, really. However, all they seem to talk about is motherhood, periods, getting drunk, bad sex, and how to fuck over men. Surely, there must be something else to laugh about? The last ones I watched were on the Kevin Hart Funny AF special. Ugh.

The only one I watched that was a lot more down to earth, but still about family and such, was Anjelah Johnson.
My favorite one of hers is Anjelah Johnson: Mahalo & Goodnight

I do enjoy Ali Wongs comedy, even if she probably is the glass sealing for gross when it comes to female comedians. Others with similar style I watch are Taylor Tomlinson and Iliza Schlesinger.

As long as you get a laugh out of it, all good with me smile

Yes, and if you would sum up men, the pattern is the same, only often even more gross (and repeating). In general there imo are very few for real good comics. And Ali Wong imo stands out with at least consistently landing jokes. There are also pure cringe women comics (tho some has a few good moments) - like Sarah Silverman, Taylor Tomlinson, Iliza Shlesinger I have facepalmed and turned off their artwork. Shlesinger first special(s) had ok and then feels like short circuited.
