Anthony Head, ‘Buffy’ and ‘Ted Lasso’ Star, Dies at 72
Anthony Head, the British actor best known for his roles in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Ted Lasso,” has died. He was 72. His daughters Emily and Daisy Head announced his death in a statement to the BBC, saying their father “passed away peacefully of complications due to pneumonia, surrounded by his family.” Head played Rupert Giles — the Watcher and father figure of the Slayer Buffy Summers — on all seven seasons of “Buffy” alongside Sarah Michelle Gellar. On “Ted Lasso,” he played Rupert Mannion, the grumpy former owner of AFC Richmond who cedes ownership of the club to his wife, played by Hannah Waddingham, during their divorce.

Daemons are benevolent or benign nature spirits, beings of the same nature as both mortals and gods, similar to ghosts, chthonic heroes, spirit guides, forces of nature or the gods themselves.

Re: They will be missed...
I saw him in the Rocky Horror show on stage in London years ago, and he was fantastic. I maybe met him at a convention too, but I could have dreamt that. Great as Giles and great as Frank. RIP.
2020. Meh.

Also the third person from the old Buffy cast to die in two years, and the first even close to an age where that could be expected; not that 72 is all that old either...

So sad. He'd just officially beaten cancer in April too. He was such a versatile actor. I remember when I first saw him in Event Horizon after generally only seeing him in "good guy" roles, and was blown away by how genuinely creepy/evil/disturbing he was haha.

Re: They will be missed...
Just for shits and giggles, I went to the first post in this thread and read every post since then. You guys missed a ton of people, but the list was large. And it was weird reading it again and finding out when who died. The first post starts in 2011, so this thread has been active for 15 years. Great idea. And Daemonius really puts some great effort into this. Thanks people.
