Feels like a major spoiler to me that they readily admit that he is coming back. They made such a big deal out of it (which it is), about what will happen on his journey and then they spill the beans in an interview...meh.

Totaly agree with Pirate on that.  Entertained not preached to or demonized. And I like a show that requires you pay attention and drop in to the show.  Like you said, it makes you forget the real world for a bit.  Too much of other TV can be "background TV".  I like Chicago Fire, but it would be fine in the background while I do other things and just look up now and again. And it has become the soap of "whose bangin' who this week." mixed with "whose trying to tear apart House 51 this season?" - That's their story lines every season.

Robby will have been away for longer than 3 months.

I have my doubts he goes.  I don't see it.

Awake too long to leave at night despite what he said 8 hours ago. Dr. Alishimi's condition: He said "you report it by Monday or I will" tells you he already decided he'll still be there Monday.  And he can't leave *his* E.D. without a leader now that she can't be unsupervised. Then they had that clue drop about family and the one doc saying "Its never too late"... Do you really believe that?  All the events that happened around him are about family. The two women doctors and their dramas with their mammas. Huckleberry get picked up by his new 'adoptive family' (basically taking on a widow and kid just like Cooper did in Landman). Both him and the baby being abandoned while kids.  They just really lined it all up for him to temporarily foster that baby as part of filling that void in his life and soul.  I don't see him adapting a forever kid but I can see him being a foster. Story wise that leave more latitude in scripting: It can be an infant for season... it can be a teen for a season...

honestly how long can they keep doing the show they have done 2 years now?

its a medical jhon wick, almost non stop crisis with a large blowup near the end with a little cast interaction thrown in so people can say something other then medical things.

its great now, but by season 5 ?????? i dont think i will still be here for more of the same of same old.

Well, 24 ran 8 years with 24 episodes per season.  5 years with 14 episodes would be considerably less content.

by medical jhon wick i was suggesting the pitt was non stop action, you rarely see anything but the most dramatic parts of any patient, its all go all the time, camera angles changing pushing the idea of speed and action.

season 2 is long done and almost he same format for the show happened again.
stuff stuff stuff big huge disaster stuff stuff doctor meltdown stuff stuff nurse attack stuff stuff ( not in that exact order).

was it riveting entertainment?   hell yes.
was it much different than watching cars blow up on nascar?? 
not really as last season was very much like this season
( in spirit and general progression)

will i still be watching by season 5?
not if they do not get more original by then

you could call it soft core medical porn.
the story changes but the show is still the same.

question for any hardcore fans of the pitt

in s02e07 they showed that santos was self harming by cutting her leg, but they have also said that santos was is a lesbian relationship with the surgery doc.  how could the surgery doc miss multiple cut to a leg over a long time period? even more so how could it happen in a lesbian relationship?


did they ever mention anything about it at all???

What makes you think she missed it / doesn't know about it? We were only privy to a few brief interactions between them during one day.

My understanding is this:

Their relationship started on a physical basis and Santos (slowly) started to develop feelings for Garcia.

You can assume they had that kind of talk at the beginning of their relationship...I don't see a reason why they would talk about something like that during work hours a couple of months into this kind of relationship.

So realistically speaking - which is the goal of the show - they did a good job.

Entertainment-wise...yeah would've wanted to see this exchange on TV as well - but I think they way they handle stuff like this fits the show better. You basically get thrown into one day of their lives, not knowing what happened the day or weeks before. This fits an Emergency Room quite well imho smile

the only serious issue i have with the show is all the things left unanswered.

robbie keeping the drugs langdon stole, why? santos and her self harm, is it carried over from her life, or is it how she deals with ER stress, and i am drawing a blank on the others

i don't mind not hearing the out come of 90% of the patients. im not invested in them beyond their malady's.
( which does reduce some of the drama for me.)

by next season a lot will have been left behind. and we may never hear about it again

eg:nurse arrested result? malpractice case

with the actor replacement levels high so far,im not even sure i want to know who is not in the next season.
there is no one really dis-likeable in the show so far.
and that is unusual.
