Anthony Head, the British actor best known for his roles in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Ted Lasso,” has died. He was 72.

His daughters Emily and Daisy Head announced his death in a statement to the BBC, saying their father “passed away peacefully of complications due to pneumonia, surrounded by his family.”

Head played Rupert Giles — the Watcher and father figure of the Slayer Buffy Summers — on all seven seasons of “Buffy” alongside Sarah Michelle Gellar. On “Ted Lasso,” he played Rupert Mannion, the grumpy former owner of AFC Richmond who cedes ownership of the club to his wife, played by Hannah Waddingham, during their divorce.

...where did I put that rat's ass I could give?

Daemons are benevolent or benign nature spirits, beings of the same nature as both mortals and gods, similar to ghosts, chthonic heroes, spirit guides, forces of nature or the gods themselves.

Re: They will be missed...

I saw him in the Rocky Horror show on stage in London years ago, and he was fantastic.  I maybe met him at a convention too, but I could have dreamt that.

Great as Giles and great as Frank.  RIP.

2020.  Meh.

Re: They will be missed...

Also the third person from the old Buffy cast to die in two years, and the first even close to an age where that could be expected; not that 72 is all that old either...
