Live-action series adaptation of Haro Aso's Alice in Borderland (Imawa no Kuni no Alice) manga. The manga centers on Ryōhei Arisu (pronounced the same as "Alice" in Japanese), a male high school student who is irritated with his intolerable everyday life. One night, he tags along with his bad friends Karube and Chōta to hang out in town. However, the town is suddenly covered in giant fireworks. When he comes to his senses, Ryōhei notices that no one else is around. Finding themselves in a different world, Ryōhei, Karube, and Chōta are forced to participate in survival games or die right off the bat. The three fight to live, as well as to find a way back to their own world.

The show started out promising but then became a bit stale (for my taste). It does enjoy a 7.9/10 IMDb rating though, I've rated it 7/10. I had expected more. It was already renewed for season 2, I might watch that. It reminded me of the Cube (1997) movie at times.

Yep after watching the pilot i wanted to make a thread about this show aswell but i was lazy and then it did get a bit stale and therefore i dident but still worth a look.

Watched 2x2. The show has tons of plot holes (especially 2x1), but I still find it enjoyable enough to watch.

I liked most of s2 better than the tail end of s1, but didn't care for the ending. It's entertaining enough though.

Our source sites changed the show status to "ended", but I can't find any news to confirm... Weird.

Having not even finished the show, I already agree 100%! And I must say, they really did a good job making everything look post-apocalypse. More or less perfect! Sooo many shows screw(ed) this up.

This season reminds me of https://next-episode.net/squid-game Pretty good so far! I love the locations they've used so far, makes this season feel more expensive/ refined.

3x4 Fun idea to jump from one... ▼Spoiler ...speeding subway car to another, but wouldn't you look for concrete pillars blocking your jump BEFORE you jump?! Stupid writing. Other than that: Good show. Funny: In the end credits, I noticed two "wig production" specialists.

Season/ series finale. That was... interesting! One of the (very) rare cases where I thought way LESS special effects would have sufficed.
