Re: Features/Improvements Requests
When searching for a movie series, I'd like to be able to sort the results by year released, please. If you want an example, search for Spinal Tap. I know this might not work for every search (try Rambo and see), but a filter or sort of some kind would be helpful sometimes.

Agreed, especially in the "Browse" tab. most popular (curious how that is different from Hot and Trending?) could be a separate tab... but for the general search either release date or name should be the main options for sorting.
Deserved more runtime: Abbys | Dead Like Me | Devs | Firefly | Gangsta. | Jack of all Trades | Kevin (probably) saves the World | Lodge 49 | Mrs. Davis | NYC 22 | Powerless | Roadkill | Special Unit 2 | Stumptown | Surface | The Brave | The Crazy Ones | The Finder | The Middleman | Truth Seekers | Two Weeks to Live | Whiskey Cavalier https://next-episode.net/user/WilliamDrakeMcGregor/

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
Guys keep in mind you can already include the year in your search. For example: rambo 2025 @TeaAndApathy - so the sorting of the search is basically decided by TheMovieDB.com and it's a combination of relevance, popularity and recency. If we decide to ignore that, the most likely result will be to have properly sorted (by year) results but not very relevant (so not really what we're looking for). Does that make sense? @WilliamDrakeMcGregor - what do you mean especially in the "Browse" tab ? There, you already have an year filter. That section shows ALL movies, sorted by popularity. If you sort it by year, you'll again end up with a huge list of movies ordered by year. What value do you see in that? - browse is all movies, ordered by popularity (total watchlists they're in) - hot is ordered by recent additions to watchlist for the selected period (for example X users added this movie to their watchlist in the past week, and it sorts all movies by X) - trending is like hot, but based not on being added to watchlist but by being marked watched/acquired

I meant to say that the "Browse" tab is the only one that doesn't really specify what it sorts the results by. It just says "popular" which can mean a lot of things. Your explanation of total watchlists they're in clarifies that now. But with the other tabs it is actually listed below the tabs what they are sorted by: Hot movies - most recently added in users lists Trending movies - most recently watched or acquired by users (this is copied from the actual pages) That's why Browse is so different to me. Compared with the others shouldn't the tab be called "Popular" and the explanation should be what you wrote? Popular movies - total watchlists they're in @TeaAndApathy - so the sorting of the search is basically decided by TheMovieDB.com and it's a combination of relevance, popularity and recency.
Tested this out and it doesn't feel accurate...here an example, when I type in "Star Trek" these are the first five results: Star Trek - 6 May, 2009 Star Trek: Aurora - 10 Nov, 2011 Omer the Tourist in Star Trek - 1 Jan, 1973 Star Trek: Evolutions - 22 Sep, 2009 The Importance of Star Trek - 29 Apr, 2021 Tried the same with "Star Wars" and "Jurassic" and I also got some weird results which also can't be (imho) either relevance, popularity or recency ?

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
Sorry, but I have another suggestion/request. Before we add a show to our watchlist, the tags feature is hidden which forces us to refresh the page in order to use it. Could you change it so that feature shows, but use a pop-up or something to say, "You must add the show to your watchlist to use this feature", please?

Or just make the "add to watchlist" button refresh the page.

That was actually my initial idea, but I figured it would upset people too much. But whatever works. I just want to stop manually refreshing the page just to use the tag feature.

I've cleared up the rainbow talk (if anyone is wondering). Will look into the dark mode issues!

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
I think this caused another issue...when you open a new topic and link a picture like here https://forum.next-episode.net/viewtopic.php?id=12830 the colors in Dark Mode are now inverted. I tried it also with a picture copied from a show page and had the same result. In Light Mode the picture is normal. Edit: Correction, for me it's also existing pictures now.

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
Good Morning, I believe I have asked this before and you gave me an answer but it does not seem to work. Is there any way to keep the information header stationary at the top when I scroll down for the Shows/Movies I am looking for? I am using Chrome but I have tried it on other Browsers but haven't ever seen it stay on the page while scrolling. I have looked at the option area but didn't see it. Thanks in advance for your replu.
