Re: Features/Improvements RequestsWhen searching for a movie series, I'd like to be able to sort the results by year released, please. If you want an example, search for Spinal Tap. Re: Features/Improvements RequestsGuys keep in mind you can already include the year in your search. For example: rambo 2025 @TeaAndApathy - so the sorting of the search is basically decided by TheMovieDB.com and it's a combination of relevance, popularity and recency. If we decide to ignore that, the most likely result will be to have properly sorted (by year) results but not very relevant (so not really what we're looking for). Does that make sense? @WilliamDrakeMcGregor - what do you mean especially in the "Browse" tab ? There, you already have an year filter. That section shows ALL movies, sorted by popularity. If you sort it by year, you'll again end up with a huge list of movies ordered by year. What value do you see in that? - browse is all movies, ordered by popularity (total watchlists they're in) 2,104 2025-10-04 17:01:40

Tested this out and it doesn't feel accurate...here an example, when I type in "Star Trek" these are the first five results: Tried the same with "Star Wars" and "Jurassic" and I also got some weird results which also can't be (imho) either relevance, popularity or recency ? Deserved more runtime:
