Department Q centres around Carl, a former top-rated detective in Edinburgh assigned to a new cold case whilst wracked with guilt following an attack that left his partner paralysed and another policeman dead.

This is a great show.
Funny in parts, serious in others.

I am currently on episode 5 and binging it.
5/5 from me

Re: Dept. Q

2 Episodes in so far and can't agree more. Great story, great characters and funny as well.

This is the right way to write a supposedly unlikable character likable.

Deserved more runtime:
Abbys | Dead Like Me | Devs | Firefly | Gangsta. | Jack of all Trades | Kevin (probably) saves the World | Lodge 49 | Mrs. Davis | NYC 22 | Powerless | Roadkill | Special Unit 2 | Stumptown | Surface | The Brave | The Crazy Ones | The Finder | The Middleman | Truth Seekers | Two Weeks to Live | Whiskey Cavalier

Re: Dept. Q

Heavy accent would require me to use subtitles. big_smile

Trailer isn't bad, but doesn't resonate enough with me...

Re: Dept. Q

I have now binged all 9 episodes and it's one of the best shows I have seen for a while

Great story, great characters.  It could go on for quite a few seasons if Netflix don't fuck it up

Why change the habit of a lifetime...

Yeah, I loved it too. Sorta wonder if Merritt would return in S2 (if it gets made) as an extension to the team

Re: Dept. Q

I have just finished the last episode what an excellent series, one I really enjoyed. Hopefully there will be a second series and the cast remains the same.

Re: Dept. Q

I watched the last episode last night and I agree that it's a great show

Re: Dept. Q

It worked for me.

Re: Dept. Q

Finally finished this one...absolutely great show and perfect ending.

Definitely one of the top five new shows of the year (so far) for me.

Re: Dept. Q

Enjoyed it very much. Much better than the American rubbish.

Re: Dept. Q

Just binged it in 2 sets : it's been a while since I enjoyed something.
Last time might well have been when I found out Slow Horses (Gary Oldman was enough to draw me in).
Dept. Q is worthy of its audience, unlike most of the rest. Goode is a good lead here, but the cast is just great, really.

Good actors definitely, plot is sometime a stretch but always keeps you in (which makes ALL the difference), characters all bring something, story is worthy .. and that's that .. easy when you think about it, isn't it ?!

I'll be waiting for next season.
