Trailer looks pretty good, I shall check this out if the IMDb rating turns out good enough.

Overrated, story/plotline is a 2/10 done to death nothing original. This was hyped to be the next big thing to come out of prime, glad it was only 6 episodes

So let me get this straight....if you're clearly interested in something (like you appear to be for this show, as I am), but then the IMDB rating is shit, you're not going to watch it?? Based on a rating? Although you are clearly interested in it? Seriously?!?! I just can't get my head around that logic!!

Re: Butterfly (2025) [Action, Thriller, Spy/Espionage]
First episode did not make a good impression. The writing is bad, the characters are shallow and the story is "meh". Overall the actions and decisions of the characters feel straight up stupid to me. And where is the "sociopathic" part - so far there is no indication for that whatsoever. Trying one more episode, but pretty sure this is not worth watching. ▼Spoiler So, no one saw her approaching the ambassador and switching the phone - and what kind of stupid plan was that anyway? And I bet we will never get an answer as to why they were assassinating the russian ambassador. That whole plan with the stroller...felt way too complicated. He goes and buys all those cleaning supplies and they make extra sure we see him cleaning the car with great detail - and than he stashes the keys 10m away with his fingerprints on - wtf? He breaks the window to lure her out and leaves coordinates behind. And then he does all the preparation on second location - again, way too complicated. Why not just park the car in a location you can control and do the same level of preparation. So far I cannot imagine the explanation he has for all of this will be very convincing.
Deserved more runtime: Abbys | Dead Like Me | Devs | Firefly | Gangsta. | Jack of all Trades | Kevin (probably) saves the World | Lodge 49 | Mrs. Davis | NYC 22 | Powerless | Roadkill | Special Unit 2 | Stumptown | Surface | The Brave | The Crazy Ones | The Finder | The Middleman | Truth Seekers | Two Weeks to Live | Whiskey Cavalier https://next-episode.net/user/WilliamDrakeMcGregor/

First episode wasn't too bad, but like others said, the writing is bland. I'll probably try another, but i don't have high hopes.

With a TV landscape of dozens more shows far worse than this... I'm happy to get a "Poor Man's Jason Bourne" for 6 episodes. Even the music is right out of the Bourne movies. I don't care if the plot is derivitive: So is the plot of 95% of the shows and movies out there. If not outright reshoots: Footloose, Fall Guy, yet another Star Woke series, Roadhouse... Now they're looking to remake Little House on the Prairie (really), Scrubs (yeah they are), Buffy {...} and a lot more: https://www.womensweekly.com.au/news/remakes/ So who cares if this is a familiar plot - So is every TV cop show 'similar to' every other TV cop show, or medical show, or family comedy. I don't think ANYONE is expecting actual unique originality or creativity out of today's Hollywood: just no way. So me - I'll enjoy some fun action, decent body count and something I don't have to think too hard over as my "once I'm in bed" viewing at the end of the day and just looking to mentally decompress.

They are simply chasing the dragon. The epic shows they are trying to re-create will flop like a fish on the deck of a boat. I went to that url and cringed at every re-make. A lot of the magic from those shows was a one time thing. Its like trying to duplicate your mothers cooking. Sure you have the recipe etc. But it ain't mom's.
