Topic: Set service on main show page on desktop?

Hello! I was wondering if it is possible to set my preferred streaming service for a show via the main show page? Often I find myself wanting to do this while browsing the main show page on my desktop but haven't been able to figure out how! The main show page has the Streaming services section and my available services do show up, along with the JustWatch logo which is clickable and a gear icon. When I click the JustWatch logo it opens to the main JustWatch home page and when I click the gear icon it opens to the Set Streaming Services page in my account settings for Next Episode. I am looking for the option to click "Set Service" and have the window open to a list of optional services where I can pick just one and the name of the services get highlighted in bold red? I think I have only been able to find this feature in one location on Next Episode and I believe it was the Episodes page? Hoping it is also available on the main show page and maybe I am just not seeing it?

Any assistance regarding this is very appreciated and thank you in advance! I am still learning my way around Next Episode and the different features available via mobile vs desktop. Thanks again!

Wait so, we have 2 different 'streaming services' functionalities.

First is the old, legacy one, available only in the Episodes page, where you can click the "set service" button and assign a service to each of your shows.

Then is the newer, streaming availability functionality that is provided through JustWatch, which is integrated everywhere on the site and for which you can pick your favorite streaming services in your settings - and it'll highlight the streaming availability for them.

Might it not be an idea to differentiate paid users from free users somehow?

Well, unless paid is vanishingly small I guess

Hi Santah! Thanks so much for your reply! Ok so first off I did not realize that these were two  completely seperate functionalities! Yes I have used the “Set service” button on the episodes page before and that is actually the functionality I was referring to in my question. I was wondering if we could access that button on the main page of the show? Because I have only ever seen the option to set the specific service for a show on the Episodes page (as you mentioned). Currently are we able to set the service for a show from the main show page? I would love to be able to do that!

In regards to the other functionality and syncing with Just Watch… that is the section I see on Main Show page and yes that I do see throughout the site showing the icons for the different store
streaming networks I have chosen and that show happens to be available.

However… what is a show I am watching happens to be available on more than one of my streaming networks? In that case I would want to choose the particular network I prefer to watch it on. Is it possible to click on one of the icons and set that network as preferred streaming network? As in eliminate or gray out the other networks so it’s easy to tell which one I am watching it on? (I am watching so many shows, it’s hard to keep track of where I end up starting them!)

Yeah, I understand your use case now. Unfortunately, I don't have a solution for you, for now ...

I guess just use the Set Service functionality in Episodes to keep track of what streams where.
