Please resume discussing the show.

The show still has its moments, especially those having to do with the plot to trigger a genocidal volcanic eruption. You can't trust those damn greys.

s03e06:
Aha yes, the whole scene with the sheriff, Liv and her grandma, so good.
A really well done episode, loved it.

Anyone that enjoyed it is weird.

I am starting to think the same

I tapped out.  Resident Alien lost sight of what's funny and became a daytime drama.   It would be better as a 30 minute sitcom or mockumentary than an hour long serialized dramedy.

I dumped it at ep3 in season 1. I could see the road ahead. I agree about the sitcom part. But I might have preferred 2 feature length movies direct to dvd.

The way they are telling the story doesn't make sense to me.

Tried ep1 of S4 to see if they got it back on track but the horse has bolted and this thing lost the plot completely.

Ah well, I'll miss the characters and locations.
It did seem to be losing its way, A shame but inevitable, I suppose.

Damn.  It had changed but it still had its moments.

2020.  Meh.

Re: Resident Alien [Comedy, Drama, Mystery]

I just finished season 3.  Yeah it feels… I don't know about 'lost' so much as "un new".  It was a kinda fresh feeling show and by the end of s03 it feels like there's not much innovation going on.

I'll get s04 a go.  I feel invested enough that I can do these short 10 episode streamer seasons just to complete it all.  I mean - I powered through the last season of "How I met your Mother" and that was a much longer bad season.

I think I'd just rather finish it and know, than not finish and wonder about the wrap up.  Ya know?

This show kinda reminded me of The Inbetweeners. They wrote themselves into a corner. And a great show IMHO only lasted 3 seasons.

A nice final episode.
Gonna miss it, but it had ran its course.

I wouldn't say no to a spin-off show with the Sheriff.
He was by far my favourite character.

I agree, a sheriff and deputy spin off may be fun,
