Not for now, but it may happen, yeah ...

Re: Export?

Hi,
I am trying to create a list which shows episode number of x, group by country and filter out repeats. I can cut and paste some of the data from the recent list (see below) into excel and extract and sort, however the total number of episode information and other info is nested under each show's entry/URL. I also need to get date first aired if possible to exclude/filter out repeats. Is it possible to get a script to export the TV guide for a day or week to csv. I am not fussed about csv formatting for dates etc, I will handle that in my importing.

Recent TV Episodes
Today's TV Episodes:
Reacher - 3x06 - Smoke on the Water  Forum
Grey's Anatomy - 21x10 - Jump (for My Love)  Forum
The Wheel of Time - 3x01 - To Race The Shadow  Forum
The Wheel of Time - 3x02 - A Question of Crimson  Forum
The Wheel of Time - 3x03 - Seeds of Shadow  Forum
  9-1-1 - 8x10 - Voices

If there is a way to do this in Watchlists, that would be great too.

Regards

Max

Re: Export?

Even after reading your description - I have no idea what you're trying to do here and why.

There are no repeats on Next Episode.

As you have 0 shows in your watchlist, I guess you're looking for an API to feed data into some software? What is it and what do you need it for?

Cheers

Re: Export?

Sorry for not being more specific,
I am trying to get a list of whats on tv/streaming grouped by country showing: Program name, Channel, Season #, Episode #, No of Episodes in series, date airing.

I am processing the data in excel to extract the above fields into columns so I can sort, filter and group it for my personal upcoming TV guide so the family can put requests in and we can identify new shows easily and shows we have missed and filter and group.

The majority of data I can get from pasting from /recent into my spreadsheet. However I need to manually drill down on each show to get the number of episodes (to identify if new or last in series) I am not proficient at Web scraping and was hoping it was possible to extract/export this to csv. The reason I am not using a watchlist is I will miss new shows if I don't update it regularly and add the news show in. There are also shows the Mrs will want when she see it in a list.

Regards

Max

Re: Export?

I don't think Next Episode is suitable for what you're trying to do.

The whole point of this service is to eliminate the need for tracking stuff via Excel and to make show discovery fun and easy via the provided tools.

Re: Export?

Thanks Santah,
I was using your site as it seems to be the most comprehensive global listing. Is there a way to add all shows or new shows to the watchlist? or is that defeating the purpose? The problem I have with watchlists is the new shows we aren't seeing in the list. I will make do with the info currently available on the /recent page in my spreadsheet so I can filter and group it.
Thanks for your help.
Max

Re: Export?

Adding all or all new shows would be unmanageable and would indeed defeat the purpose.

Best I can think of to fit your use case (and eliminate Excel) is to add the shows you like to your watchlist and use:

https://next-episode.net/browse/

and browse shows in their first season and exclude shows from your watchlist or filter by language.

From there, either add shows to your watchlist or tap the little X to hide them from this list.

That way you'll be able to easily see what's new (so not already in the watchlist or hidden).
