Been done better before?  OK, where, when, what show?

2020.  Meh.

I may have commented on this before, if so I beg forgiveness, but I lost interest in this quite some time ago, to the point that I just check out the Last episode of each series to confirm that NOTHING has actually hapenned (been revealed). smile

Imagine if you did that with every show.

Friends - Ok, so it's just these 5 again (and Gunther) sat in a cafe, nothings changed.

X-Files -  wow, it's these 2 again, every bloody episode... chasing aliens or something as usual.

My point is, it's not about the destination, it's about the journey.
I get some people don't have the patience for slow burning shows like this, but I do, and so do a lot of others.

jimslim: Many people liking this show doesn't mean you also have to like it. And you not liking it doesn't mean it's not a good show. smile Just accept that you don't like it and find shows that you like (more).

Re: Severance (2022) (Adam Scott, Chr. Walken, Patricia Arquette)

2x1. Good season start! smile

Spoiler

Mark is shown a Kier newspaper article. When you start with "published since 1893" and add the "51,903" volumes (top left), you end up (assuming one volume for every day of the week) with a current date in 2035 or 2036! yikes

That doesn't fit what we've seen of the outside world so far, so I wonder what's going on... My guess: They used a fake article to calm things down inside, and just added random stuff (including the implied current date) because they can! cool

Thoughts? I've googled this but couldn't find anyone mentioning this anywhere.

Re: Severance (2022) (Adam Scott, Chr. Walken, Patricia Arquette)

2x1 - First thought I had, "When is this, they look older?"  Either production schedules of current shows take so many years to complete that the actors just literally look older, lolz, or there's been some temporal anomaly.  Not as exciting as I was hoping it was going to be.

And the goat room! lol

Excellent! smile I'm pretty sure they put walls and roof on some farm to achieve that.

And 2x4... What an (outside) adventure!

Are you listening to the podcast by Adam and Ben?

Daemons are benevolent or benign nature spirits, beings of the same nature as both mortals and gods, similar to ghosts, chthonic heroes, spirit guides, forces of nature or the gods themselves.

Re: Severance (2022) (Adam Scott, Chr. Walken, Patricia Arquette)

I give up on this show - and I kept trying - it is spiraling like a clogged toilet. There are people who can listen to a piano play a ONE sustained note every 30 seconds. That's who this show is for. I want to shake the writers like a kid at walmart and force them to get to the point. TLDR: It's a dumpster fire waste of time.

Re: Severance (2022) (Adam Scott, Chr. Walken, Patricia Arquette)

I keep thinking that the characters inside would speak in more than Q cards. Usually it's 3 to 8 or so words at a time and it's a bit trite.

Great catch!  Now I have to go back and and watch ESOTSM.
Does anybody remember the show
DollHouse where Dichen Lachman played Sierra as one of the severed superpowered servant/human beings whose personalities, abilities, and memories can be been programmed in order to help them complete top-secret missions?

I wonder if Lumon is going to add augmented abilities and skills to the severered "workforce" they are creating.

Also, ICYMI:

Re: Severance (2022) (Adam Scott, Chr. Walken, Patricia Arquette)

I think this is one of those shows where nobody really understands what's going on, but all the "clever" people talk about it like they do, because they are better than you.

People pull it apart an analyse it, looking for all this deep and meaningful stuff, but in the end it's just a TV show.

smile

95% of the show is a filler. Story doesn't move forward at all. Classic Apple. All jazz no pizzazz. Retards are only watching it for the status quo.
