That's a lot of "More"s, I'm not a fan. But maybe grouping all not currently running (and active) would be possible? I'll think about it.
Thanks for the consideration. If it comes down to what makes the most sense, I think "in Development" would be it since those are the only shows on the watchlist you cannot watch right now. Everything else has either aired or will definitely air. Without scrolling I see on my homepage 28 shows in the Watchlist. Out of those 28 shows 12 are "in Development". Since you can get a Notification if one of those shows gets a premiere date, currently the only purpose of them being listed is to remind you that you cannot watch them right now which is sad .
Shows that deserved more runtime: Abbys | Dead Like Me | Devs | Firefly | Gangsta. | Jack of all Trades | Kevin (probably) saves the World | Lodge 49 | Mrs. Davis | NYC 22 | Powerless | Roadkill | Special Unit 2 | Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi | Stumptown | Surface | The Brave | The Company You Keep | The Crazy Ones | The Finder | The Middleman | Truth Seekers | Two Weeks to Live | Whiskey Cavalier

I like the idea of collapsing the On Hiatus list on my homepage.

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
On app and website we have the sort by feature, and we have on the app on the episode tab the number of episodes left to watch per show. Could we have this on the website and then having this data could we add to the sort by feature 'sort by number of episodes ascending ' and ' 'sort by number of episodes decending '

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
Is there a way to see on the Watchlist which shows I haven't rated yet? I couldn't find one. So far it seems only possible directly on the show page. If not, I would suggest the following: - display the "Please rate this show" banner next to the rating in the Watchlist if not yet rated. - make it possible to rate shows directly in the Watchlist Thanks.

santah wrote:...it's too complicated to change multiple mechanisms (how the rumours work and are being stored and also how the show status is being determined and displayed) just to have this tiny benefit for a handful of shows. Also it would be more work on an ongoing basis.
Fair enough, but the way I imagined it, it's no more ongoing work, and not much coding work. Instead of putting the information you're already gathering and putting it wherever you're putting it now, you'd put it in a new field, and that field is permanently shown on any show that doesn't have the ended/cancelled status. An empty field obviously wouldn't be shown. Set it and forget it, just like you're doing today anyway. santah wrote:Re P.S.1: I don't like that idea as it would be confusing/misleading to users to mark stuff that's not officially cancelled - to cancelled/ended - people rely on that info to know whether there is a chance their show comes back. If your list is super long - I suggest using ctrl+f ?
While I see your point, my point is that a ton of shows NEVER get marked as ended, even though they've actually been ended for years (or even decades). Those shows just stay on that list forever. Just because a show hasn't been confirmed ended, doesn't mean it hasn't ended. If a show hasn't made a new episode in several years, it IS ended. And if by some miracle one of those shows gets a new episode after several years, it automatically gets the resurrected notification anyway That's my point. CTRL+F doesn't help my point, either. If I hit the END button on the keyboard, or quickly grab the scroll-bar in the browser to drag it to the bottom to see the bottom-most shows on the past/future calendar, or the latest forum topics, I invariably end up about 13 screen "pages" too far down, and have to scroll almost all the way up. Example of my current actual Home page: https://drive.google.com/file/d/14u7c6y … sp=sharing This is just ridiculous One thing that would solve my annoyance, however, would to just take all the shows that aren't Running and don't have a Countdown to the next episode, and put them into the collapsible "More (inactive shows)" menu. They are most certainly inactive, regardless of whatever status they have, and if I want to look through them (never gonna happen) I can always expand that list. santah wrote:Re: P.S.2 - fixed!

Any chance your Javascript is turned off on the site? Can you successfully add/remove movies from your watchlist? If browse in the movies is the only javascript functionality not working for you - what browser/OS are you on? Cheers!

@ArniVidar - your list looks indeed ridiculously long. It's on my mind to play with it and see if I'll be able to add another section of "more".

I love it, it looks even more insane than my list on the main page. Looking forward to the ideas you come up with.

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
Re what ArniVidar is saying. I watch a lot of documentaries and most of them are short-term series. Like "Inside the Crown". There will probably not be any more episodes in that doc (not to say that there will be others, but they will have their own name). Same with Historien om Danmark/Sverige (The story of Denmark/Sweden), the story is told up to the current date. I could go through my personal list and tell you each one, but that would be too much work both for me and you. If they were off the list after 3-5 years (2 years might be too short in this day and age, Stranger Things and House of the Dragon will continue, but IIRC it will be over 2 years between seasons). The point is: Docs are a place to start because most in their nature are short-term. Only my 50 cents

That brings up another idea: santah could (easily?) prevent shows from being auto-set to "ended" after x years when that show has active rumours. I'm pretty sure most popular shows do have rumours.

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
Hey santah, a couple of possible quirks: First of all, this thread isn't pinned (Sticky). Wasn't it always stuck? Took me forever to find it because I didn't look below the Sticky ones. Secondly, is it possible that when you fixed the highlighting color in the dark theme, that messed with something else in the forum theme? When I'm browsing the forum, there is no visible difference between a read thread and an unread thread. Didn't the unread ones used to be bold or something? Equally, there is no visible difference between read and unread forums. They're all bold. Didn't there used to be a difference there?

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
Weird it wasn't stuck, it is now There should be a visible difference in the form of a highlighted blue/orange square on the left of the forum/topic titles. Don't you see it? It always worked like that and read/unread were never differentiated through font weight. Cheers!

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
Ah, yes, the squares. I thought there was some indication of read and unread, just didn't remember what exactly. But no, yesterday I didn't see any of the orange squares filled. Today I see them again, so whatever that was is no longer an issue. Just an FYI: Never got a notification of your post this morning, however. Got all of them yesterday just fine.

Yes there is. Go to the watchlist page and sort by "my rating". Your rating for each show will be shown as well as you'll be able to tell which ones you haven't rated yet!

One thought: With this sorting in particular, but just in general, it would be good to be able to choose that sorting again to invert it (lowest first) or in some other way control the ascending/descending parameters.

My thinking here is - look at what we can sort through: "upcoming episode" "name" "popularity" "user rating" "my rating" "recent episode" "recently added" How often would anyone want to sort by oldest episode or most unpopular shows or worst rating? I don't think sorting by these makes much sense.

Hey! Not sure if this is already possible, but is there an ability to set a notification for when the show ends/season ends? I like to binge watch the show after it ends to watch in one go

Not possible right now. IIRC, santah said that that info is not available for all shows. But it would be a nice feature to have for those shows where it is known.

If we are talking about ended/pause them I am sure that statuses are not available, but I'm more interested about the current season, for example there is information on most of the shows that I've checked and it says X out of Y episodes ordered. So once this is Y/Y I would consider the season finished and would watch. Would be great to have something like that!
