I can imagine the writers in the room just thinking up random things to stick in the show, probably sitting there smoking something naughty.

IIRC, Tabitha said that she had been living in that place before - as another person - which was the reason she could see the "Anghkooey" children. (Her husband couldn't.)

Jade could also see the children, so maybe he just suddenly remembered the music (because of the notes they discovered)? (Tabitha also had some flashbacks recently.)

Hmmm, I think it's all a bit of a stretch, you're probably looking for connections that aren't there.  Don't get me wrong, I like the show, but I just think at the end we'll have lots of unanswered questions and too many "huh?" moments.

If we are honest... the story telling is pretty weak and fragmented by now.... and in my opinion the "revelations" reveal exactly nothing (which makes any sense). They throw in new things, without ever cleaning up the mess behind.

- Who was the old dude in the tower?
- Who are what is the Kimono lady? What is her role?
- And why does only Elgin see here... and she has to "communicate" via Polaroids while suddenly she is is physical acting as zombie midwife.
- What were those subcutaneous worm things infesting Boyd? And how and why, did "kill" his blood one of the creepers.
- Why was that one reborn to Fatima? Not any of the other girls/woman in the town?
- Why did the far-away tree teleport that guy into the concrete pool wall?
- Why did the veggies spoil?
- And what about the forgotten village? Why didn't the food spoil there? The totems?
- Those red stones? To sacrifice the kids?
- If all is about Tabitha & Jade (or any of their previous lives... while that whole concept doesn't convince me... not even a bit), why are the creepers than fixated on breaking Boyd?
- Why does Boyd sees the priest?
- Still don't get the "tower fall" back to the real world... and back to the fromvillage.
- Julie's time travel is a refreshing new angle, but I don't get it yet.
- Btw, I really dislike Elis. What a useless character.
... and many more '?'s

Actually, I am really getting "lost" here and do not see that the writers have a clear vision.

There are very good episodes, there are extremely poor and boring ones. Fine. But the overarching world building is just chaotic, inconsistent and not really frustrating. I am just keep goging for the "very good episodes" and moment of pure creepiness and athmosphere.

I may have commented on this before, if so I beg forgiveness, but I lost interest in this quite some time ago, to the point that I just check out the Last episode of each series to confirm that NOTHING has actually hapenned (been revealed). smile

Friends - Ok, so it's just these 5 again (and Gunther) sat in a cafe, nothings changed.

X-Files -  wow, it's these 2 again, every bloody episode... chasing aliens or something as usual.

My point is, it's not about the destination, it's about the journey.
I get some people don't have the patience for slow burning shows like this, but I do, and so do a lot of others.

ones persons "slow burning" is anothers "show is deliberatley being eeked out to make money" shows like X files were generally self contained stories so it can go on as long as the stories are there. it was spoilt when fag man and M's sister and the conspiracy took over
