Morgan is a single mom with an exceptional mind, whose unconventional knack for solving crimes leads to an unusual and unstoppable partnership with a by-the-book seasoned detective. Based on the popular French series "Haut Potentiel Intellectuel (HPI)."

And another consultant show...since I like the concept I try out most of them. But for them to be interesting they do of course need something to differentiate themselves from others.

Morgan is a good enough character for that. Kaitlin Olson is perfect for the role. Her circumstances are understandable and can be made into interesting storytelling.
The other characters are OK, decent cast, apart from Judy Reyes of course who is of, course, another first class tv actress.

Spoiler

The most interesting part is the compulsion. Who watched Monk back in the day knows all to well what interesting stories can be made out of this.
Unfortunately the pilot episode seemed to loose up on that part pretty fast towards the end of the episode. Hopefully they don't forget she has this condition.

Judy Reyes character was a bit to soft. From a police lieutenant I expect more confidence and presence. Hopefully they fix that in future episodes.

The other detectives were "almost" too much in the background. Lead detective is a bit to stereotypical in the role of "I don't need a consultant".

I think the neighbour has some dark secret?

They also should've waited for her to get the job offer for at least 1-2 more episodes.

Shows that deserved more runtime:
Abbys | Dead Like Me | Devs | Firefly | Gangsta. | Jack of all Trades | Kevin (probably) saves the World | Lodge 49 | Mrs. Davis | NYC 22 | Powerless | Roadkill | Special Unit 2 | Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi | Stumptown | Surface | The Brave | The Company You Keep | The Crazy Ones | The Finder | The Middleman | Truth Seekers | Two Weeks to Live | Whiskey Cavalier
