Topic: Extraordinary [Comedy]
https://next-episode.net/extraordinary
Extraordinary follows Jen, a young, self-aware woman who lives in a world where everyone has a superpower... except her.
I quite like this. Very funny and quirky

Watched the whole S01 in one go, a bit too much jizz jokes, but other than that - gold. ▼Spoiler 3D printer guy got me every time, he is always ready to help out

Re: Extraordinary [Comedy]
Didnt find ep 1 LOL funny but the creativity was totally radio rental. And crude as hell. I think my superpower would be the capability to generate flatulence of such abrupt intensity that it could both defuse any tense situation as well as ruin any poignant moment for anyone. TL/DR I would walk around looking for heartfelt moments between loving couples at, say, intimate restaurants, then walk past the lovebirds and unleash comically loud botty guffs.

Re: Extraordinary [Comedy]
"Extraordinary" reminds me a bit of "The Misfits" Season One (before that show started to take itself to seriously). It is fun and quirky with just enough 'generational' humour to have a wider audience. Hopefully the story will go on and evolve along with the show, I hope they make more episodes.

Thanks, Wizard! Only watched a few episodes, but it's one of the funniest UK shows I ever watched. And good news: Extraordinary Renewed For A Second Season https://whatsondisneyplus.com/british-c … nd-season/

Re: Extraordinary [Comedy]
Marathoned it. Loved that scene where Jenn ate the onion. A young actors dream job. So funny. ▼Spoiler I'm surprised Kash didn't use his superpower for fighting crime, was kinda looking forward to him using his power and defeating the baddies and then feeling like he cheated, he only used it on his rival. So much more you can do with time travel. 5 minute reversing time reminded me a bit of the movie NEXT with Nicholas Cage....also Hiro from Heroes. Jenn's superpower is the removal of other peoples super powers, right? That guy couldn't fly, so I'm guessing. Question: Why is this show way over here in General Discussions and not TV Show Discussions?

▼Spoiler I thought he just couldn't fly because he'd lost confidence from the unfamiliar rejection. Who knows though.

Here I thought Wizard just wanted us to talk about Extraordinary from a more thematic and general discussion point of view, like, the nature of human evolution, guided vs. unguided, developing superpowers, and adjusting to the awkward and bizarre social trends associated with it. @Wizard, How many times have I told you, never drink and post. lolz @Lighton, thanks, could you also update the title to read Extraordinary [Comedy]?

Re: Extraordinary [Comedy]
I watched season 2, very forgettable. Quick question: ▼Spoiler When Jen fell in the void at the end of season 2, do you think that was written as a possible ending to the show, in case they don't get picked up for season 3? Do you think writers, knowing renewal is not guaranteed, are intentionally writing season finales that can also work as series enders? Does anyone know of other shows that have done that?

S01 wasn't a good season, but it was ok and entertaining - quality of S02 sadly dropped further, so i started skipping quite a bit. Forgettable indeed. Pity, since there was a good "absurd"-style comedy potential, bummer. ▼Spoiler The "void"-drop was VERY foreseeable, and yes - this might be a simple open end or a nice pickup for S03
