A high-octane action comedy about a motor-mouthed outsider offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a trigger-happy car thief, he'll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck.

Well, https://next-episode.net/squid-game could be called a children's game adaptation. big_smile I don't mind what something is based on, it just needs to turn out good. smile

Totally agree, if a game is story based then fine, just look at The Last of Us.  But Twisted Metal was car game from when, 1995?  Come on, really?

2020.  Meh.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don't mind. big_smile

Re: Twisted Metal [Action, Adventure, Comedy]

1x1 was sooo silly... Unbelieavable! lol

Not a great show, but fun enough for me to watch more. smile

Re: Twisted Metal [Action, Adventure, Comedy]

Finished it. It was okay to watch, some fun ideas, but I'm not sure that I will come back for more if it gets renewed...

9

Re: Twisted Metal [Action, Adventure, Comedy]

I liked it. I'll want to watch again if it gets another season.

Re: Twisted Metal [Action, Adventure, Comedy]

OMG, I tried so hard to like this show, got to second EP, abort, abort, life is too short. :-)

Re: Twisted Metal [Action, Adventure, Comedy]

I actually liked the blend of Mad Max and comedy. Sweet Tooth is my spirit animal, but many other characters were an interesting concept. True, the main characters sort of fall flat for me, but I think of them as catalyzers for the story that reveals decent worldbuilding.

Re: Twisted Metal [Action, Adventure, Comedy]

I marathoned this, it was fun and comical and for the most part, the jokes landed.

Of all the things to complain about, for me, the location shooting was hilariously the same stretch of road and parking lot from New San Francisco to New Chicago that didn't really give the sense that he went on a road trip across America.

Doesn't look too bad... Might give it another chance. smile

Re: Twisted Metal [Action, Adventure, Comedy]

First three episode were ok… not as much fun as season 01 imho… but let’s see.

Re: Twisted Metal [Action, Adventure, Comedy]

Not sure about this. The First season was.. weird.. But it made it special and one wanted to see how it went.
The second series looks a little like "wait, what? we have to make another season?".
Hope it takes the right turn!

I like it.  It's ridiculous and over the top but the world needs shows like this, where you don't have to concentrate too hard you just sit and watch it, and appreciate it for what it is.

2020.  Meh.

Okay, ep4 crushed it! I mean… “Count Sweettooth” and Stew’s Goremitzvah… just hilariously ridiculous… hope they keen it up.

Edit:// ah, meh… ep5 and 6 were again rather mediocre.

Re: Twisted Metal [Action, Adventure, Comedy]

Just watched the final, all in all a good season 8/10.

Really great set-up. If this doesn't get a Season 3 I'm gonna be mad.

Spoiler

United.Treaty.(of)Insiders. = U.T.I. yikes

Did they forget about The Dolls? Also I hope we get to see more of the Milk-Man in Season 3.
In Season 1 they made it sound like they are somewhat organized. I hope we get to see something like that.

Deserved more runtime:
Abbys | Dead Like Me | Devs | Firefly | Gangsta. | Jack of all Trades | Kevin (probably) saves the World | Lodge 49 | Mrs. Davis | NYC 22 | Powerless | Roadkill | Special Unit 2 | Stumptown | Surface | The Brave | The Crazy Ones | The Finder | The Middleman | Truth Seekers | Two Weeks to Live | Whiskey Cavalier

Hmm Peakcock network? You could be in luck. Says its coming back. But I have seen the yank the rug out method before. Maybe if Trump slaps some tariffs on movies not filmed in the USA. Oh wait he already did that.

You are on your own.

As happy as I am that we get a Season 3, the change in Showrunner does have me worried.

Re: Twisted Metal [Action, Adventure, Comedy]

I was so bored mid season 2 that I couldn't keep going. Not sure I'll have the energy to pick it up and then wait for season 3.
