I love HATE WATCHING this terrible series... it's like having my very own HDTGM movies to laugh and yell at cool

Same with Doom Patrol.

Right, but they're more brechtian and generally more absurdist energy... which makes it more along the line of an HDTGM flick that's inclusion might be contested (by Jason) like Face Off because the audience is completely transported into that mad world whereas TITANS, while still getting a recommendation to watch from HDTGMers, has more the Punisher: War Zone vibe... if that makes any sense, inkblot?!

I do not delve that deep into stuff I watch. I watch both. And Titans and Doom Patrol seem to have more off beat episodes than good episodes. Thats when Mr. Joint helps out. And I do not watch anything because some site or video told me to. I ran into those 2 shows like I do with anything. I catch a glimpse and then depending on how far behind I am I get the rest and catch up.

This is simple entertainment. Nothing complicated.

I do not analyze why I prefer vanilla over chocolate ice-cream. I simply know what I do or do not like. Life is way to short for a deep dive on this subject.

Totally agree with you, Inkblot, but we are the minority here.

I've often felt that here in these forums, if you don't like something and say so, it's not good enough to just have an opinion and voice it, you have to post an entire thesis why, otherwise you are just wrong.

2020.  Meh.

Of course one can comment "This show sucks", but it's more helpful to write something like "I dislike show X because the acting feels off and the special effects look way too cheap."

No thesis required. cool

Re: Titans

I have only watched a few eps of Doom at the moment but with Titans  seems decent harmless unpretentious comic book fun, no social commentary desperate for LBGQT+ audiences. Same with Stargirl. Brec Bassinger hoped there would be a crossover with Supergirl, thank god that will never happen.

Be thankful for the variety, otherwise things would be boring. I find it very interesting that 100 people can see the same show, movie etc. But each one has a different perception of it. Or it means something totally different to them. But glad to know that I do not think alone smile

Well put inkblot cool

Re: Titans

Y'know of all the characters I'd have expected to get a live-action version

Spoiler

B'wana Beast

would have been pretty far down the list. Yet the dc wiki tells me there was already a half-assed version in Legends.
Somebody summon @merc for the

Spoiler

Stargirl cameo

I wondered what you were referring to before I watched eps 9. all in all a  rather stupid eps

Spoiler

"The Red" lol

. So thats two today what with Picard 10

Re: Titans

Yes, it's very stupid.

Spoiler

And Beast Boy missed his chance to punch Grant Morrison in the neck for coming up with it when he made his cameo (The bald guy). At least they don't have enough episodes left to bring in the other colors and their avatars.

Re: Titans

been enjoying Titans for years. finally stopping halfway through Season 4 Episode 12. Maybe I'm just getting too old for all the teen angst.

You gave up half way through the last episode of it's final season?  Surely not.

It certainly wasn't as good as it was when it started, and this season for me was way below par.

2020.  Meh.

Re: Titans

Finishing 4.12 and knowing I'd never have to see that again was the closest I'm likely to come to experiencing joy, well at least until I finish the last Flash ep in a couple weeks. Can't imagine tapping out that close to the finish

Watching the last ep of The Flash...  Now that will be a special day indeed.

2020.  Meh.

Re: Titans

I think it is a shame when half decent series just do not know when to end so they end  on a downer

Re: Titans

just watched the last episode... wow. what a shitstorm.

Re: Titans

it would have been half tolerable had they let the black woman die rather than survive?

Re: Titans

I liked 3 episodes of the entire series, which were the first 3 of season 3. It'd take a lot more than killing off characters in the finale to put it in the half tolerable range for me. And if we were going to try and improve the show by killing off characters my list would be 1) Conner 2) everyone else (tie)

Lol. You’re right. Totally thought she would

Spoiler

die. They definitely should have killed one of them off. I was actually hoping for dick Grayson/Nightwing to be killed.

Either way, crap ending to a crap show. It’s pretty fitting.

That sad thing is, that it had such unrealised potential.
