Have you never seen Peter Pan? Sure, it was a crocodile, but it still ate Hook's hand.

Your opinion can't generally speaking be wrong. Perhaps reasoning behind that opinion can be though.

You can't take your helmet off in front of other people. We are not other people, they can take their helmets off in front of us. However still, a big part of the current episodes is that the "star" has admitted to taking his helmet off and needs to "atone". Either way, we as the audience have in fact seen his face a number of times.

And this only applies to this specific sect of Mandalorian. So:
  - we have seen the lead character actor's face a number of times
  - we have seen the faces of other Mandalorians
  - we see all of the other actors' faces give or take all the time (granted, technically everyone on the show is an "alien" of some sort from an Earth perspective, so they may not look like they do out-of-costume )

Re: The Mandalorian

A question for all you Mando geeks:
Since the fall of Mandalore, do Mandos not mate and start new families? Must they mate with a "pure" Mando? Are beings not born or raised in Mando culture allowed to become a Mando? How long ago was Mandalore destroyed?

140

Re: The Mandalorian

Idk about the marriage stuff but they (at least that sect) take in orphans from other worlds. Din himself was such an orphan. There's likely to be waaaaay more than you want to know about this on wookiepedia https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Main_Page

I forgot the exact wording in the last episode, but IIRC it was something like "not even centuries ago".

Re: The Mandalorian

Didn't Bo Katan (spelling?) say she ruled for a short time before the fall of Mandalore?

She also said "it wasn't that long ago, you wouldn't know it with all that destruction."

Re: The Mandalorian

3x3, the whole Coruscant story was lame in my opinion. 'Kathleen Kennedy' levels of lameness I would say.

144

Re: The Mandalorian

3x3, why did Elia Kane do what she did?

Spoiler

If you can remember back (I couldn't, but an acquaintance who does that very odd 'rewatch' thing did) they were shown earlier on Moff Gideon's crew as a true believer type.

Re: The Mandalorian

I guess I'll have to wait. It looks to me like she's insinuating herself into the workings of the New Republic while protecting what she can of the remnants of the Empire, hence her action at the end.

PS - do you realize there's no oral sex if you're a human(oid) Mando?

148

Re: The Mandalorian

The whole Mandalorian religion/rituals/customs/the way/crap is annoying, season 3 is just ok, and episode 3x3 was so tangent it was the exact level of lame suggested by Diablos.  Coming from just finishing Andor, this feels like a kids show.

It's more "cute" for sure. smile
