Based on the book series by Edo van Belkom, Wolf Pack follows a teenage boy and girl whose lives are changed forever when a California wildfire awakens a terrifying supernatural creature and drives it to attack a highway traffic jam beneath the burning hills. Wounded in the chaos, the boy and girl are inexplicably drawn to each other and to two other teenagers who were adopted sixteen years earlier by a park ranger after another mysterious wildfire. As the full moon rises, all four teens come together to unravel the secret that connects them - the bite and blood of a werewolf.

Sarah Michelle Gellar makes a return to the TV. Must be worth a look after a very long time away?

Re: Wolf Pack

It was pretty much par for the supernatural teen drama course, but I'm a sucker for those so I'll stick for now.

I agree, but not in a good way.  smile
This is not for me.

Re: Wolf Pack

I think i'm done. I just kept upping the speed and it still felt like slow motion. Feels like one of those that's going to drag all season, pick up a bit the last two eps then get cancelled. Also SMG's straight full arm handshake offerings creep me out for some reason. She may turn out to be a secret Frankingstein.

Yes there is clearly something there - I assumed she was doing a mind read to see what type of monster the kids were

Re: Wolf Pack

Glad it wasn't just me being weird noticing it.

Re: Wolf Pack

still don't know what SMG deal is. I am starting to think she is just a placement to sell the show

Re: Wolf Pack

Gave it one last shot. Tapped out at 'it smells like acid'. 'like anger'.

Re: Wolf Pack

One thing that surprises me is how well SMG has aged ( or not ) Lucky her. I am still watching the series. Unfolding nicely.

Re: Wolf Pack

Oh by the way for any one still watching this teen series things just got interesting in eps 5 and SMG is not what she presents her self as...( we all knew that?) but what?

Judging by the lack of comments, it looks like you are the only one smile

Re: Wolf Pack

Not going back to watching, but will keep checking in for updates on the quality and confirmation that SMG is a Frankingstein.

Re: Wolf Pack

just as well no one else is watching this show as other wise there would have been by now a teen wolf-gay split off thread....

Re: Wolf Pack

hmm dont know what SMG role is in this show. She is quite happy to kill joe public with out hesitation or a seconds thought. And seems to be in some way on the side of the Big Bad. I was wondering if she was the where-mum  but no. Show is getting into its stride. eps 6 at the pool rather funny where the beans were nearly spilt in the group of teens high on shrimps lol. For this scene the casting event was " show me your abs" all very intense. This show is good because it takes its self so seriously and that is hilarious

Re: Wolf Pack

a question about the ratings here - is it just people in this group or outisde as it is getting 4.4 out of 5 for 62 ratings, which seems respectable. The only issue I have is there is too much gay-sex and hetero-sex I bet we will soon were-sex also. eps 7 gave it all away.. some nice human->were transformations

Re: Wolf Pack

I stopped trying to figure out the mysteries of the ratings here when I saw the Flash is still over 4 but https://next-episode.net/a-spy-among-friends is 2.86. But yes, the ratings here are just for this site. I personally didn't rate this one since I don't rate shows I drop.

Re: Wolf Pack

Here is your answer: https://next-episode.net/browse/?genre= … language=0 big_smile

Basically no ratings reflect objective reality, not here, not IMDb (where they are even weighted, which is a synonym for biased), Rotten Tomatoes reviewers ratings are a complete, utter bullshit (same as 100% useless information is what some winery owner thinks about 6 eur wine you purchase in a grocery store) etc. Realistically can just calculate some score, but for that also to be even close to objective, you need a huge amount of input data and a lot of math. Since such data sometimes has just IMDb and they don't share it, all you can do is to check top and worst reviews, see who and why are rating high/low and do an educated guess.

Re: Wolf Pack

so 62 people  in this group not just me is watching it , good to know

Re: Wolf Pack

well eps 8 the finale was a surprise and explained it all. oh by the way the straight handshake did have a meaning. In the end a nice little series that left us puzzling right until the end, with a few misdirections on the way. I doubt it will be back for a season 2 , though there are loose ends to develop should they decide to do so.

Re: Wolf Pack

well SMG in the end is a nasty bit of work behind a pretty face

Spoiler

who is responsible for every thing

Re: Wolf Pack

sounds right. i'd not be surprised if you get a season 2 as paramount seems to be a bit less hair trigger than other services.

Re: Wolf Pack

The mistake the show did make was to underplay the real malevolence that SMG really was about, that human life was worth no more than the moose to a pack of wolves. Right to the end it was a comfy teen show rather than a horror story
