Re: Warrior Nun [Action, Fantasy, Horror/Supernatural]
so Ava is back! 2nd seasons can be difficult as expectations have been build up what eps 1 season 2 should be and there can be an initial shock ▼Spoiler . In this case I bet some expected a battle royale from where the last season ended. Only a nodding recognition is given that Ava had her arse kicked at that event. It seems Shotgun Mary took the brunt of that event and maybe dead. We start 2 months on . Same great situations and scenery. ▼Spoiler oh and Ava can nearly walk on water....and I think she and Beatrice may end up as an item... ▼Spoiler oh and dont make Lilith angry Atleast since it is Netflix we can watch as many eps as we want with no need to wait until next week! some people complained about season 1 there was not enough action, blood and gore, ▼Spoiler well eps 5 should satisfy them, I was shocked at the meeting of the world faith leaders, that this scene was not censored, truly astonishing

Re: Warrior Nun [Action, Fantasy, Horror/Supernatural]
well I have now finished season 2 and a great season it is with lots of action and surprising turn of events. well worth the watch and far better than season 1. It lived up to the promise of season 1 and gave us more++. Hopefully there will be a season 3 if not it ended well, but it is always a bit sad when you say goodbye to characters-actors whose exploits you have followed
▼Spoiler Adriel is a bit of an ambiguous character - he drops the hint that where he comes from is ruled by a tyrant and if he does not succeed then Ava will have to do the job.

Though I wasn't happy about how it started, overall it didn't disappoint.

I think the two seasons should have been part1 and part 2 - part 2 would not have been so powerful had part 1 been hurried or limited. Just the wait of 2 years was it didnt help matters. As I get older blood and gore & punching on its own not so interesting without the human interest side of things

Just saw where s2 is the last. Those of you who watched it seemed to like it. But was the season good enough and end satisfying enough that you'd recommend watching it to someone who's notoriously grumpy, has a million other shows in the queue, thought it was just a borderline keeper after s1, and barely remembers a thing about it? I would say no, it's borderline meh. Not exciting to be more precise, there is nothing wrong with it. Some ninja nuns running around, trying to save the world

I'm exactly in your position and have decided not to watch S02... for now. Added it to "the list".

Re: Warrior Nun [Action, Fantasy, Horror/Supernatural]
I watched season one and wasn't blown away. I've started season two but don't mind dropping it if there's no kind of closure. Anyone know if there is? Cheers.
2020. Meh.

I wouldnt recommend any thing to some one like you describe. I liked the show and season 2 ended it properly. A season 3 would have made it into a different show as ▼Spoiler by the end of season 2 Ava was dying and her only salvation was to go to the other side, Beatrice had left the order to start living a real life after hiding away as a nun, Adriel was dead as was Shotgun Mary and also the Pope, all central characters that made the show So yes disappointed no more but as with Stargirl it was the right thing to do. Unlike you I remember most things in the show. But then I am some one who having seen a little bit of the Mandy show thinks it is a load of cow dung, I like to see actors faces...the actors make or break the show and those in this show are good'uns esp the one who plays Ava, Alba Baptista

Re: Warrior Nun [Action, Fantasy, Horror/Supernatural]
WOW! I am glad it gets a 3rd season as the last eps of season 2 suggested a complete different direction since some of the original cast members stories were ended and resolved. It was a fun series with some great backgrounds to the action & Ava herself a joy to watch. My fave eps was the surprising one ▼Spoiler where the Archbishop of Canterbury gets his throat slit and the rest of the notables are killed off by Adriels henchmen So well done fans for encouraging some one to pick it up for a third season!!! Hearing this news has made my day

Its a middling show at best, who the hell has so little going on in their life, that they spend time begging Netflix to renew this mediocracy lol

Clearly you are not a fan who contributed to the pressure lol. well how much time does it take to assent to a #tag or some other pressure ? 30 seconds? Not as if people are spending their days putting pressure on the parties. Just that lots made the effort rather than standby and think c'est la vie Out of curiousity what show does rate such attention in your opinion? One thing that made the show were the locations internal and external. I still wonder if the internal church locations were cgi fabricated as I am surprised any Catholic institution would be a willing participant in this rather deprecating show.

Yeah I'd be inclined to think those locations were fabricated.

Re: Warrior Nun [Action, Fantasy, Horror/Supernatural]
My sentiments precisely (from the article) ... "The fan campaign to save Warrior Nun (must have) been wild. They bought billboards across from Netflix HQ. They came up with charts showing viewership demand trying to prove Netflix made the wrong call. They made up new hashtags to get the series trending in some capacity essentially every day since cancellation. I’ve seen a lot of campaigns like this in my time ...., but I have a hard time remembering one quite like this. And it…worked. I honestly can’t believe it." Of all the cancellations of good series, this is the one that gets picked up?

well clearly LOTs thought so. It seems the show wanted to have a lesbian fling with Ava but Netflix said no.

Re: Warrior Nun [Action, Fantasy, Horror/Supernatural]
I thought season 1 was good, not great. The lead actress just doesn't pull me in, and most of the supporting characters are either poorly written or acted by similarly untalented or poorly cast people. Season 2 was just... bad. I could not finish. It totally failed to suck me in and I found myself being bored and annoyed while it was on.
