Ok this is even more boring than the middle of last season. It's not up to Doom Patrol levels of boring but still.

Re: Stargirl [Action, Adventure, Crime]
According to the podcast StarGirl Aftershow the various seasons have certain tone or inspirations season1 - Back the to the Future season 2 - films like Nightmare on Elms Street season 3 - The film Knives Out so it would be wrong to think you will be getting more of the same, just as season 2 different to season 1 The guy whoruns the podcast works on the show first/ last year in graphics this year in the writers section ( not as a writer) so he has useful insights

▼Spoiler Starman is an embarrassment isn't he? can't take him anywhere. Not the image given in season 1 eps 1 lol. I like the way all the bad people are being made to act out of ( stereotyped) character. a lot of it is puke-ville but we all need to be reminded bad people are people too?

Yes the series is saccharin but we can do with a little more with the bright-side these days! As for Starman, I have to say I find his characterization hysterical... and on the plus side there must be like 5 fans of Sylvester Pemberton (AKA Star-Spangled Kid) out there so fewer angry fans yelling nonsense out there! Personally I kind of always disliked Syl in the comics, so this was some fun stuff. I wonder if we'll ever get the real STARMEN on this series. They mentioned Ted in season one but I would love some Jack Knight on the show.

eps 3 ▼Spoiler it was fun seeing Starman go beserk. And Pat Dugan having to put him in his place he is NOT Starmans sidekick any more.

Re: Stargirl [Action, Adventure, Crime]
real trouble ahead ▼Spoiler ? courtney and cameron finally kiss ( sort of , this is a family show) and he makes it snow. will be interresting to see what happens when he finds out she killed his dad. so Shiv is turning into her dad scaly and all? Also looks like yolanda/wild cat is soon to leave the show as her dad is out of work and her home is being put up for sale

Re: Stargirl [Action, Adventure, Crime]
I had my doubts about Season 3 and even more so with eps 5 ▼Spoiler - not particularly interested in seeing Stargle kissing Icycles son but that eps set things nice up for eps 6 and what is bound to folllow. The shame is I doubt he will go bad and go for Stargirl in the end but become "good". Starman is becoming quite a prescence

Re: Stargirl [Action, Adventure, Crime]
They just need to get on with it. They pretty clearly don't have 13 episodes of either material, effects money, or both per season for this show. ▼Spoiler Just bring in Mr. Bones already. They teased him by name at the end of s2 so they don't really need to have this ridiculous thing of him working a jigsaw of himself as if we're really gonna be blown away with the reveal. I want to keep liking this better than other CW stuff but it's getting difficult. It's not as ridiculously stupid as Flash but it's really boring and it's starting to fall into the regular-character-goes-insane-every-week pattern that Flash has been doing for years.

I doubt thats true as overseen by Geoff Johns. I think he is just giving the characters room to breath which some may not like ( I find it a bit disconcerting ) yes the mistake was the end of season 2 which gave it all away ( written by Johns so a bit of a mistake.....) This is not comic book anymore? It may not work. .

Re: Stargirl [Action, Adventure, Crime]
▼Spoiler I like the way poor old cindy/shiv got the moral high ground over courtney in eps6 who ended up in the dog house with a great scene with Starman. I feel sorry for Cindy, she just wants to be normal? A big turn around from season 2 where she was a nasty piece of work. I wonder if she will achieve that and eventualy leave the show? I also wonder whether hourman will go mad now he is 24hourman. I hope Courtney fails with Cameron, to succeed would be a cop-out for the show & we will have more of this kissing and hugging- if some one killed your dad that you look up to what would you do? I like the ambiguities of the show eg the Mahkents the grandad v the grandmum. I am glad they are back. The main thing is all the actor-characters are attractive, distinctive not a single nondescript one Yet to watch eps 7.

Cancelled after this season, but according to Johns will have a satisfying ending.

oh thats a shame. Atleast it wont go the way of Supergirl that started so well. Makes me wonder what a "satisfying ending" is?

Supergirl was absolutely insufferable for the final season or two. A show I once enjoyed became very heavy-handed with its "message". I found it painful to finish. I hope Stargirl's ending is fresh and light. Not every show needs to have a message.

well CW has been taken over and all those woke shows are over. The new owner it seems will be concentrating on cheap "non scripted" shows one reason that Stargirl wont be seeing a 4th season. Shame another player does not take the show over.

Was actually surprised that the big bad is ▼Spoiler The Ultra Humanite. Not pleasantly surprised, as he's been a ridiculous villain since the 1930s, but surprised.

Re: Stargirl [Action, Adventure, Crime]
Thankfully, the show won’t end on a cliifhanger. According to series star Brec Bassinger, showrunner Geoff Johns was aware of the uncertainty surrounding the future of The CW at the time and filmed two endings to the season 3 finale just in case they weren’t renewed for season 4. And with the series finale set to air on Wednesday, December 7, make sure you look out for the more definitive ending that will give the show the respect it deserves (even if the network did not).

Re: Stargirl [Action, Adventure, Crime]
My favorite part:
No, Stargirl is just another casualty of the sale of The CW network and its new owners’ attempts to take the network in a different direction. Nexstar hopes to produce cheaper, original programming that is geared towards what they believe is The CW’s core audience: 58 year olds.

58 seems a bit young for broadcast tv

Re: Stargirl [Action, Adventure, Crime]
eps 9 was a great fight ▼Spoiler seeing the old fogies get to work. Surly though Grandma Mahkent cannot get off scot free for killing Cameron's art teacher and dumping his body in the refuse bin? And surly the grey-hulk can not be the master mind behind the surveilance, he looks just a grunt & what has be against them all any way?

Re: Stargirl [Action, Adventure, Crime]
▼Spoiler He's white, and a gorilla not a hulk. That'd be the Ultra-Humanite I mentioned above. Super-intelligent mind transferred from body to body who wound up in a gorilla's. Very old villain, as in he was Superman's evil genius villain before Luthor was created. Was a long-time JSA villain.

Re: Stargirl [Action, Adventure, Crime]
wow eps 10 gave us another reversal scene. And atlast we know who is behind the eves dropping(or do we?) ,and I did not see that coming. In fact more than one involving, the Crocks - every thing seemed to be going so well wasn't it then this happens. On another point I am surprised that Geof Johns doesn't try to get another distributor to take over the show. There is so much good acting and writing in this show
