Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire, which was previously adapted into a 1994 film, is sinking its teeth into the small screen.

I saw the first two episodes and well.... it is not really my thing.
But the one thing why I even bring it up. Yes, once again they had to promote diversity and make Louis de Pointe du Lac and his whole family black.
And to be honest, even though I detest the probably unintentional racist notion ("you can only be successful as a black if you are a pimp, cut-throat or slaver"), they actually made an effort and really changed the whole setting and make the du Lacs being black somewhat believable. Since I don't really care for the original Anne Rice story as well, the whole scene and world building around du Lacs being black was decently done and not annoying at all.
Which shows, it can be done. If you really want to.
Besides that, not a great show, but not terrible either... Probably only for genre nerds... which of course will go wild for the changes which were made to the original scripts.
